There have been written numerous guides on how to farm efficiently. Almost every aspect of farming has been covered and there is probably not much I can add.

However, there is a guide I am still missing. It's a guide for people who don't have time to raid several hours a day.

This guide will be adressing a few things that are in my opinion essential for people who farm, but don't have much time to be online. I won't be talking too much about army composition, base build, etc. since there are much better guides on those subjects out there somewhere.

In all honesty, this will be more tips then a actual guide. Also, To use this guide, you are expected to have some basic knowledge of the mechanics of the game.

Offense
Most people who are not online as much will not attack multiple times in a row. They will most likely have several moments during the day in which they find some time to attack. Those moments are most of the time several hours seperated from each other. This creates an opportunity that most hardcore farmers do not have.

You don't have to worry about the training times of you troops. Most of the time there will be several hours in between attacks anyway.

TIP: Don't worry about training times!
This is actually more important than you might think. For example, most farmers avoid wizards because their training time is too long. With training time not being an issue, you shouldn't be afraid to train some healers or wizards or mayby even dragon. Ofcourse they also cost quite a bit, but you can go for better defended bases with more loot and therefore still having greater efficiency per raid.

Defense
The defense is much harder for those people for the following reasons:
1. Far less online time and therefore far more likely that you will get attacked
2. On average higher loot in the containers since it takes longer to save up

Defense will be harder and therefore requires more attention. You will have to build a decent base or it will get raided very often. Here are some essentials that will make this easier.

TIP: Leave your TH outside!
This is VERY important. If your base is well defended, it will be very likely that there will be someone going for an easy TH picking. This will grant you that free 12 hour shield. This shield is much needed since you can't be constantly online to avoid getting raided.

TIP: Upgrade walls!
At the very least make sure you have all pink walls. They take 2 level 5 wallbreakers to break through. This is essential. Having high level walls is quite usually a "skip" or easy TH picking. You need the skip our TH picking. Your base has too look it's part. When I see a base with decent defenses but gold walls... well you know the rest.

TIP: Build a well segmented base!
There are many guides out there on how to build a well segmented base. Find one you like and copy that. It is better to make a good copy then to build a crappy own base. This is also very imprtant. Your base must look but also be tough to break. This will once again increase the chance of someone just picking your TH instead of going for your loot.

TIP: Don't go up to high in trophies!
This is sort of a no brainer. Higher up in trophies means better players and better armies. Far more likely to get raided by full level 6 troops. For TH8 I recommend somewhere around 1300.

TIP: Don't break shield for a small loot revenge!
A shield is probably your best friend! You need the shields, make sure you don't break them too easy. For example, if you have time for one raid and you have 8 hours left on your shield. It might just be a better idea to just sit it out a little longer. If you break shield for 100k raid and get raided for 200k right after that, you would have kind of wasted your shield.

Other
Some general tips for people no online very often.

TIP: Upgrade mines and pumps!
Fully upgraded collectors will collect 432k per 24 hours. That is a lot for someone who can do only 5 raids per day. Make sure to upgrade those collectors.

TIP: Empty collectors and donate!
Donating and collecting mines only needs a few seconds. While you might have only time to do 5 raids per day, you probably do have time to empty collectors more often. Try to collect and donate at least once every 2 hours. This will literally take only 10 seconds. Just open up the game, collect, donate and done! This will greatly decrease the chance of getting attacked and increase your defense. Donating actively will be returned in kindness and therefore make sure your cc is always full on defense. Empty collectors is less loot to be looted for attackers and thus making your base less tempting for raids.
