Right I'm currently th8 with level 5 archers giants level 4 barbs 4 wall breaks 4 gobs the rest are worst.. However I'm struggling to beat the xbows and since I'm this th lvl its impossible to not find one ! Any ideas on how to beat them please!!

Few archers to back up the giants. Usaly the giants will go around the first layer then drop some barbs, wile they are taking out the rest of the buildings again drop wb hopefully by then you are in the center where xbows are. Then just use archers to take them out. Takes practice but its easy when you know how. Maybe watch some guys you tube vids here as watching is a better way to learn then reading. If you use healer giant army and let the giants soak up the xbow shots also use healing spells for the giants. Then put some archers down and goblins to take out all the buildings while the defenses are worrying about the giants. That way you can take out buildings with archers during the time that the giants are taking all the shots. Hope this helps. Other wise just skip the bases with xbows.
When attacking towns with xbows I believe it is important to be able to tell which level xbow it is and whether they are full or not, as well as pointed towards ground or air and ground.Ground set xbows have a wider target range but cant shoot air troops.By being able to "read" bases as I say is important. So are troops, I find that the giant shield with a healer and archers/wizards behind works great for me at this point. Try to look up pictures and info to be able to tell the difference as well as using a troop with high level hit points;Giants,Valkyries,Dragons,Pekkas. However it all depends upon your strategy at your point in the game. Hope this can help.

I'm pretty much a maxed TH8 and I still avoid x-bows; it's just good policy. it's true that I could probably put a dent in a lot of TH9 bases that have x-bows, but why bother? the very same army that "dents" at TH9 can probably take 100% of the resources from a TH7 with troops to spare.
