People are often changing up their bases/armies and asking other clan members how well they did. If you were able to attack your other clan members bases during preparation day without losing troops and without gaining loot, you can test your attack strategies and war bases against your other clan members. That way you can be shown how people may exploit weaknesses in your defences and test out how well different armies do against different base layouts and strengths.

You can't copy the trap layout and have the CC troops released though.
Yes, but you could do something near identical with the traps by guessing where they are.
Anyway people will copy the rest of the base.
