Ability to see clan mates shields

It would be really nice to be able to see clan mates shields. For example, my clan mate at 10 pm requests troops for a clan war attack. Nobody responds, he goes to bed without doing his attack. I come on 11 pm see the request, msg him, no answer. If I knew that he had a shield up, I would be able to know that I could safely fill his request so he has the troops ready for his attack in the morning. Without knowing his shield status I am unlikely to fill his request for troops since if he gets attacked, he could lose the troops I send him.

I agree. When we're requesting troops for war, often say we are going off-line to get a shield. Would be handy to be able to see for yourself when they have a shield so you know when it's good to donate.

Always thought it would be good to see how long people's upgrades are talking just like you can see your own. Mainly because I'm incredibly nosey but also when guys ask for advice on what to upgrade it just helps to know if they have weeks left on an upgrade or a few hours.

    The question is..
Would you choose not to donate if their shield was short, and run the risk they did NOT have the needed cc troops for war ?

OzAudi, you are right there still may be a judgment call, but accurate info is better than no info.

Clan mate going to bed has to resend his request stating he needs troops for defense. Problem solved, SC can spend their time on something more important. :-)

No use. Troops are more helpful without shield. They make a huge difference in an attack.

I actually don't like this idea, because I think it is exploitable. Let's say you attack me, I want to revenge you, but you have a shield, but alas! You are in an open clan, I join, check to see when your shield is up, set an alarm, and revenge you the moment your shield is up, score!!!

If you run into the problem a lot, I would suggest putting into the area where you request troops, how long till shield is up, such as "I need a max golem for war, 8hr45min on shield". You log on and see he sent that 6 hours and 45mins ago, 2 hours till shield pops. Problem solved.

We go one step further, we expect war requests to be pre-arranged and the donator and time required to be in the request. It saves people gemming troops to fill cc requests then others finding the golem they dont want for their own attack, is now not needed because someone else donated.

It’s just part of our battle day banter and works well for us. Part of that discussion is whether a shield is in play or not.

Yes, it's exploitable if you are part of a less than stellar clan. If you are part of a good clan, it's a good idea.
