Thread: Zero stars loss, 1 star draw, 2-3 stars win - my new idea

    All the higher level players don't care about their resources as is. Go check any of their bases, the storages are just flung to the outside. This idea would change all levels of gameplay too greatly. It just simply isn't a god idea.

    The very high level players are all gemmers. So they buy and instantly use any resource they get. So large storages are not really useful to them apart from the fact they need them to buy the 4+ million for the wall upgrades. But anyone who is not top 200 would really benefit from this idea. And they buy gems too.

    We both agree this would change the gameplay a lot. We just agree to disagree if this change is a good one or not. We've both stated valid reasons as to why this idea is good and not a good idea. Now it's up to the moderators here to read this and hopefully add it to the sticky topic.

    The only element to stars I like, which has molded on some other threads in for leagues.

    1 star = existing league bonus
    2 stars = 1.5x or 2x league bonus
    3 stars = 2x or 4x league bonus
    You should have to work hard for trophies, or then if you say "hay I have 3000 trophies" People will be like yeah you got them all with 50%. But under my new proposal, those 3000 trophies will really bring a lot of respect as you had to really earn them.

    And your idea for multiplying the league bonuses just makes farming for the league bonuses more important and less farming for resources less important (comparatively speaking). And with the higher leagues you'd get to a point possibly where you could at TH10 earn more from a 2* or 3* league bonus then you would get from farming the loot the standard way. That would really change the balance of the game and I'm not sure if I like it.

    But . . . if you added in your idea with my idea. So 1 star still gives you the standard league bonus + a draw which is no trophies exchanged and then up the league bonuses a little, maybe 1.5x for 2* and 2x for 3* then you have a good proposition.

    In short. I like your idea if merged with my 1* = draw idea. But on it's own I think your idea is too powerful and would imbalance the game too much hence I'm not for it (unless the 2* and 3* bonus improvements were very tiny, like 1.25x @ 2* and 1.5x @ 3*.)

    EYE think many players place TH outside to receive shield with fewer trophy/resource losses.

    Since this was brought up, might as well comment, with a real comment.

    I think it is a good idea, but not for near end-game (aka TH9 and TH10). From TH8 and lower, it is very easy to get a cheap 'win', either with Town Hall snipes, or just a Barcher army wrecking the outer buildings of almost any base.

    However, this would ruin much of a farming base's purpose, since a sniper would get nothing from the (minimal) efforts... which is bad, very bad given the current state of the game. If it wasn't for the horrific gameplay in defence, people wouldn't resort to a farming base to minimize facing the flaw in defence.

    Nice idea, but the game isn't ready for it.

    Clearly a low level player. Past Masters 3 getting 3 stars is pretty much impossible on most bases. Not enough time / units to deal with the volume of buildings that TH10 players get. Bases with level 10 walls, 3 x bows, and 2 inferno towers (even all level 1) you'll be lucky to get 1 star even spending 3k DE and 500k Elixir in the process.
