There was a thread a while back that I posted on about disallowing Fresh Spawns from posting on this subforum. I posted an argument against the thread (i.e. Fresh Spawns can post here) but I really think people are missing the point.

The reason we have so many repeated threads on this forum is the way these new users got here.

See, once some prospective user has an idea, he or she will create an account in about 2 minutes, load the main page, find this handy button called "Ideas & Feature Requests," and think, Bingo! I can share my ideas with the world. Followed by:
______________
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭ZAPPING!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Plz make lightning not damage Dark elicor storeges I got zapped 48 tiems in a row!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭
______________

What was the issue here? What was missing?

Most users don't stop to read the stickies, or even acknowledge that the stickies exist. Simply put, the new users need to see more clearly what the rules are, and what people are not to post, but the users aren't seeing these well enough.

Here is the text from the Ideas and requests box as it stands, right now:
_____
Have a great idea for the game? Post it here! Want to request a feature? This is the place. Please read the stickies first!
_____
It should be something along the lines of this:
_______
Have a great idea for the game? Post it here! Want to request a feature? This is the place. Please read the stickies first![URL]http://forum.supercell.net/showthread.php/1691-READ-BEFORE-POSTING-Ideas-ruled-out-subforum-guidelines[URL]
_______

... with the link on the bolded text, but I really don't know how to do that. Anyone else know?

If that doesn't work, we can try a thread notification. Something along the lines of what's on a wiki:

With text regarding the issues I stated above; which is users not reading stickies. The infobox sticks out and can probably catch a user's attention.

The best way, in my opinion, to end the spam on this subforum, is to change our rules and consequences regarding posts on disallowed material. But I honestly have no control over rules on this forum, and will probably sound like a blithering idiot trying to suggest any ways to tighten up rules.
