    Good post. More realistically I've probably only spent 2 grand but I don't know the exact number for sure. Might be more but I doubt it's less. Spider-Man being greater than or equal to batman is definitely arguable but I do like the post. I look at this game like checking my emails. It's also a great way to manage time, set goals, reach goals, overcome obstacles, test your stamina, and commit everyone that I play with I know personally and we're all in the same clan, I've only been in two clans. The one I'm back in and the one I started and was in for a little over a year. I've been playing over two years and I'm finally close to actually chasing trophies and being competitive. There's always something new and the smallest update can completely make you tweak your style of play. Im good at air and I'm great at the ground and pound but my troop sets could change tomorrow based one one small tweak, kind of like the witches tweak back when they first came out. they were great until their first tweak...they are almost worthless now that the archer towers have been improved to shoot much faster. They really dumbed down the heroes to, they love to go outside and hit all the building around the layout. I'm just asking for a little help, I go take mine with real attacks I just feel that others should take mine the same way. I could go around all day sniping dark storages every 2 hours after the spells are finally done if I wanted or I can attack every 45 min and get 1500+ every time. I choose to attack and take it.

    I'm gonna be entirely honest, I quit after getting zapped like 20 times in the last 3 days back 2 years ago. I did not touch the apps for nearly a year. I got so brokenhearted because it's really hard to get DE (i was th8, and th7's has no drills yet back then).

    Everyone said about being on top not getting zapped? No I disagree with them. Here's a solution for you. Get to crystal 3, go down to 1900ish trophies. Boost your rax. 2 hours. I got 10k usually. Without queen maybe it's around 6-7k. 70 gems (4 rax, 2 heroes, 1 spell factory) for 2 hours of raid immunity and gaining resources other than heroes.

    I'm not bashing or anything in your thread. I understand your hatred and despise against zappers. I am trying to give you a solution, of which does not require ranting to supercell to change anything

    I wanna yank this OP's chain too! Looks like fun... This is by far the most entertaining Anti-zapping thread I've read.

    I hope you, Jcstanley, feel good about insulting people you don't know anything about. Sure, check out my game-stats in my sig. They're honest and true. I'm playing CoC since a few months, and I'm nearly on a maxed out TH7.

    And I zap too. It's the only way to get that much needed DE to level up my BK, in a reasonable time. There is however one catch. I only zap TH9 and TH10 bases. Never TH8. Why?! Because of the Loot Multiplier. Being a TH7, a TH9 can only raid 50% of the available loot, a TH10 just 25%.
    So, if I zap a TH9 base and gain like 1,000 DE and that guy revenges me, he'll take no more than 600 DE from me (if my DE-tank is full). Because at TH7 the DE cap is set to 1,200 and the Loot Multiplier for a TH9 attacking a TH7 is 50%... If it's a TH10, he'll have to do with just 300 DE.
    No matter how, I end up with more DE... Even if someone 3-stars me in a revenge attack...

    But to make revenging nearly impossible, I raid a lot of TH6's as well. For their Gold and Elixir (up to 250K each per raid). And my TH is outside my walls. Which means I usually get my 12h shield within minutes after logging off. Because some tiny TH6'er snipes my TH and takes a few trophies home.

    This Cannot be fixed.its a part of game.if you have troubles than try going upper leagues (crystal+)

    Alright Stanley. Rather than retype this all as a new message I'll simply paste it. While it does not detail EVERY aspect of zapping it touches on most of them, especially the main ones. Not only the drawbacks and benefits of zapping to the zapper and zappie, but more importantly the benefit zapping has to the health of the overall game.

    For the reasons I state below I zapped a lot when I was TH7, a bit at TH8, but have not for a year or more now. I still get zapped and it annoys me too. But I SHOULD get zapped because I am a maxed TH9 grinding walls down in gold. The single point of CoC is to take stuff from other players. No player should be invincible beyond a shield that they either paid for with gems, or they paid for when their base was raided. Zapping is the ONLY way people who exist naturally in gold stand a chance against developed TH9/10 players. That is why zapping is good for the game and should not be removed. Zapping is good because I don't like it. It makes me want to push trophies until I realize that up there I will loose more than the paltry amount I get zapped for.

    Also, you touched on the huge number of people who complain about zapping. If you search previous threads on the topic you will see that every honest poll on the subject comes out to between 75/25% - 95/5% in favor of not nerfing zapping. There is a very emotionally charged and vocal minority, but they are in fact a minority by a very wide margin.

    I'm sure you won't like it but happy reading anyway.

You may not want to have a full army sitting around purpose built for the moment you can revenge them so instead you continue farming and keep 3 or 4 lightning spells on hand just incase they are available to revenge. Eventually you get your sweet reward. Another time zapping can be viable for TH9 and TH10 is when they are otherwise maxed but still grinding heros. With no other way to spend elixir keeping a few lightning spells on hand to use on builder huts and hero altars up in champ can also be used on the occasional DE storage for a boost. TH7 and TH8 however have a very different reason for zapping revenge. Keeping in mind that it makes sense for them to zap in the first place, they have another factor to consider. TH9s and TH10s artificially drop trophies so that they can farm easier bases. They do this for the logical economic reasons that a cheap/fast army can get lots of loot and because there is a much lower chance of somebody strong enough to take it finding you before your TH gets sniped. That's right, as a TH9 or TH10 you get to have ALL weaker villages that have zero chance of revenging you effectively on your log AND you are surrounded by them giving you cheap shields quickly. You are INVINCIBLE!!! There's nothing those weaklings can do to stop you!!! MUAHAHAHA!!! . . . except zap the snot out of your DE.

    That's right. The ONLY drawback to farming is that those puny little weaklings you have been picking on all along can zap you. It's the ONLY bad thing about farming. Without that you would be able to play completely risk free. Your loot would be safely removed from the economy because nobody could get to it. It would be AWSOME . . . except that the very concept of being invincible and able to hide all of your loot is game breaking. Nobody should ever be safe from attack and nobody should be able to hide all of their loot. Ever. Zapping is the only reason you might want to consider moving up in trophies to play where your TH9-TH10 counterparts exist without artificially dropping trophies.

    Which brings us back to the "move up in trophies" response that you discredit so vehemently. Remember when I mentioned that TH9's and TH10's rarely benefit from zapping? That is why moving up in trophies works. Heck, zapping encourages you to move up in trophies. If you WANT to hang out where zapping is effective you should be zapped and often. You are choosing to sandbag so you can pick on the easy targets. I'm not saying that is a bad thing. I do it too and I should be zapped for it. I could do the "honorable" thing and move up in trophies but I choose not to for the same reason you do. Because when I log off I would rather loose 1000 DE to a zapper, or even 3000 DE to three zappers than loose 300k gold, 300k elixir and 3000 DE to the first attack that comes along. Getting zapped and snipped is VERY beneficial.

    There are of course a few TH9s and TH10s who do not understand basic math and zap aggressively like they learned to do at TH7. They are their own worst enemy. Wasting their own time and resources, thus slowing their own progression. As Ron White so eloquently put it, "You can't fix stupid." Altering game play to compensate for a very small % of players who are of below average gaming ability is just bad policy at face value. They are already punishing themselves even if they don't realize it. They are certainly not a good or justifiable reason to compromise the health of the game.

    In sort, if SC made it possible for you to get all the loot you wanted with no risk of loss they would call the game Hay Day. In a game like CoC nobody should be safe beyond their shield. Ever. Zapping is the only thing that makes danger at every level possible. It is good for the health of the game BECAUSE you don't like it. . .

Lol town hall tens should have a preventative measure since it is town hall tens that have to max out their dark troops and heros cost 2,100,000 dark to max them both out.     For someone that professes to have played this game for three years you seem to woefully ignorant on how the game actually works.

    For a start TH9s only have a maximum of 4 available spells in their spell factory and secondly to max heroes as level 9, ie up to level 30, then the cumulative cost is in excess of 4 million dark elixir. Which is a damn site more than the 2 million you quoted for level 10s!

    Other than that SC have stated that at the moment zapping, or using lightning spells to take DE is not a problem. In fact fairly recently they actually did nerf zapping by upping the number of hitpoints on the DE storage so that less could be taken with the lightning spell and I doubt they have any plans to make anymore changes soon, though I could of course be mistaken.
