Revenge is useless

The revenge button is basically useless as it is now, all a player has to do after attacking, farming, trophy hunting, ect. Is get attacked once and they have shield. I have tried to revenge everyone on my list multiple times and never can as they always have shield or are online.
If you attack you should be ready to pay the consequences and not be protected by a shield from a revenge.
Now that would make a strategic game truly strategic and I would definitely like to see this happen.
Shield should have no affect on revenge.

No shield to protect you? What stops you from getting raided by everyone you've attacked in the past week? I can tell you that list is well over 100 people whom I've stolen at least 2000DE and 150-300k in gold/elixir. For each of them to be able to by pass my shield and basically hit me every time, NO ONE would every be able to gain/progress except the hardcore players that will binge raid, earn for the one upgrade, spend it, then log off.

The current revenge system protects you as much as it protects them.

I agree, I have tried to revenge like TH8 who just snipe my th and they always have a shield, or sometimes someone has a bunch of loot and I could revenge them but it always says, this user has an active shield or whatever

I have to agree about revenging mostly being useless, however I dislike your idea for fixing it.

I am ready to get revenged against, isn't that the whole point of revenge?

The revenge system does work but like many things in this game it takes patience, a bit of luck, an understanding of how the game works and how people play it. Gaining revenge is about timing and the things that affect timing.

What people fail to realise, is that any changes to make revenge easier, more frequent, will eventually reduce to possible revenges down to zero. Do the mathematics on a scenario where you revenge more times a day than you defend.

But ultimately revenge is about ego. Pure and simple. The game and this forum would be better off without a revenge button.
There are always better targets out there in multiplayer plus they pay a league bonus.
