Extended Clan Joining Cooldown

My idea is to add a stacking clan joining cooldown that functions like the following:

If someone joins a clan the first time, they get a one day timer, where if they leave that clan, they have to wait one day before joining another clan.

If after that they join a clan again, and then leave again, they get a two day timer.

This will continue to stack up till like 5 days to a week, and if they stay in a clan for a full week, then the timer will reset to 1 day.

The current system has from what I can tell, a very very low cooldown period, and people are currently abusing it to jump into clans, grab free troops, then leave. I think extending the joining cooldown period will greatly increase the value of staying in a clan and growing the community, cause the leaving and joining, has come to a point of being so bad, that it is destroying a lot of open invitation clans.

So what if I join a clan and they verbally abuse me? I can't go find a friendly clan for a full day?

Clan hopping is not a problem, it is merely a different play style. If your clan offers something that players want they will stay. But even the best clans in the world lose players. Players may leave a war clan to join a trophy push clan. Is that really a reason to force someone to sit through a cooldown.

Also, why would you want to force someone to stay in your clan. Its a game. Everyone has the right to play it the way it is most fun for them.
