Hey guys I just started playing this game not to long ago and I'm wondering if my base is looking okay. My defensive log isn't looking to good so I don't think it is all that good haha.

The second base looks well rounded and covered with both splash and point defence equally well. Just keep on upgrading everything and you'll be all good
Find yourself a good clan and then place clan castle close to middle so the units from there help on defence.
1. It's very hard to defend at low levels, so its ok that you lose a lot of defenses. It is good that your mortar is close to the center though.
Some basic game tips:
-If you ever buy gems or get a lot of gems from achievements, ALWAYS spend them on builders huts. They are by far the best thing you can get with gems.
-Always upgrade the lab and mortars(and wizard towers when you unlock them) first when you get to a new town hall. They are the most important, as lab upgrades your troops and mortars and wiz towers are best on defense.
-Once you get more buildings and your base gets bigger and better, putting your clan castle at the center is a huge help. Clan castle troops distract enemy troops and can kill them too.(Also don't forget to upgrade your clan castle)
-Don't upgrade town halls too fast. You want to upgrade most or all of your buildings before you upgrade your town hall, it will be a big help when you move on to the next.

I actually just built my clan castle about an hour ago haha. I'm going to be joining by brother and nephews clan once they wake up.
So do you think my base looks okay then?

Not much strategy for base design at your town hall...MXA...said everything perfect.... And I don't know know if he said anything about walls, but they are also critical...i was an early town hall 8 with low low walls and medium to high defense, but i still lost big until i got my walls up.
also, at your level, put your town hall outside... Trophys dont mean anything... Dont double thick your walls, put them around a defense or storage.... Think squares and rectangles.. Cells and compartments

Upgrade those walls and choose a different base design, it helps alot!

Haven't lost a fight except for when both my cannons were being upgraded haha.
Upgrade, upgrade and upgrade some more. Don't go into sub 200 you will get wrecked!
