What upgrades do i need first?

Hmmm...Have not seen a TH6 ask for opinions before.

When you get to TH7, your priorities should be:

Research Laboratory so you can get those Barching troops to L4;
At least two Barracks to unlock Dragons so you can cook them somewhat efficiently;
The Spell Factory so you can get that 3rd spell. It'll do wonders for your Dragon attacks (zap one AD and spread your drags for three stars every time); and
Build your DE storage so you can start saving for your Barbarian King.

Good Luck...TH7 is one of the best levels for loot, you should have absolutely no trouble picking off TH6s for their 250k offerings. Look for TH7/8s with exposed drills so you can get that DE for Barb King.

It would be more beneficial for him to learn both zapping and the 2 rage 1 heal drag attacks because yes zapping the ad in th7 pretty much always works. However in early to mid th8 when drags are still king the 3 rage or the 2 rage 1 heal are sometimes necessary depending on the base.

I agree with you completely. The rage/heal combo will work 100% of the time as well.

Yup I use it on my th7 alt because the lightning is too easy haha.

Walls are the single most important thing on your base.

If if you have lv12 walls and everything else lv1 then you're okay and no one under TH8 can get 2 stars on you 👍🏻
