It is a pity, from my point of view anyway, to see someone who obviously has been enjoying the game feel so despondent. Only for that reason, for your own sake, I would urge you to sleep on things, get a fresh day's perspective, or just play as normal for a week forgetting the update, so you can remind yourself what you like about it.

Could it be that instead of abandoning the game, your group might find a new way to enjoy it? Maybe it is an opportunity to check some spending (SC's loss!!) and take enjoyment from doing things a different way?
Don't think me cheeky, I mean this as a compliment really, but I see your signature says:
Always remember, every difficulty in life is really an opportunity in disguise.

I think that's a great outlook to have!

I always love to read what you post Pitchfork. Tempers will cool in a few days is very dead on. Telling teenagers no to more extra funds will not. Watching my family and NH members wanting to decorate their farms and can't, won't go away either. I can't change the "new" direction of SC. I do see over time that those players who are left out will go from indifferent to bitter. That is a guarantee. You also know what a horrible burden this nonsense will place on those of limited incomes. The players built SC with both large and small investments. We all stood by SC as they were going through their growing pains. Is it right for them to discriminate against persons of low or fixed incomes? At what point does success become blatant greed? It really is sad that SC has forgotten a large group of people who helped them get to where they are today. Happy Birthday SC you have become "The Man". That is not a business model that I wish to endorse. For the record, I invest around $200+ a month for my immediate family to play this game. That investment will be dropped dramatically in July. I am not despondent. I am very angry and discussed at this economic class distinction that SC is creating. You are sooo absolutely right about spending less. When one door closes new opportunities open elsewhere.

It’s amazing what one can create with a bit of imagination.
Pity I can’t’ display more, they are too expensive, 1-2 diamonds for more ppl to afford them would have sufficed.

Thanks SC for being the Grinch that stole Christmas. The price is too high considering we'll all need more than a handful to properly decorate.

Also, just because it has been stated that it will be a permanent part of the game doesn't mean that the price is permanent too. Take a second and look at the history of this game. We can complain all we want but only one thing is for certain; those paths and ditches will NEVER be this "cheap" again.

    Free diamonds

    [QUOTE
Rather than pack it up, give a different playing style a try. If you notice the pictures being posted, most of the players buying ditches are high level. When you get high enough you do not need coins and diamonds are available as most machines have already had slots opened. I got 50 diamonds at one time for one of the achievements (forgot which one it was). Then you can spend on decos. Gives you something to work towards.[/QUOTE]
We get 50 diamonds for reaching Level 100 and 10 diamonds for each Level from then on.

On be half of my fellow posters I apologize.

On be half of my fellow posters I apologize. There is quite a bit of complaining over the price of the new shiny decoration options.

Yes the ditches cost diamonds, yes it means several people won't get them, and yes hayday could have made the price less or even made it for coins.

    HOWEVER

It's a decoration, it's bragging rights, it's look at me and how much prettier my farm is than yours. it does not change the coins you make on a sale in the RSS it doesn't change the XP you get for filling a boat order, and it doesn't change the production speed of any of your machines scattered around the farm. it's something to take up more space in your farm that most people were complaining about 3 months ago not having enough space.

it's not like it's a rainbow generator that increases happiness for your cows and thus increases the amount of milk you can get out of them. There is a reason why we all play this mobile device game and not one of the thousands of other options put out by other companies like machine zone or king.com or EA. This game is completely playable and enjoyable without ever spending a dime. That being said they still need some reason for us to pay them and so we get to choose in what way you would like to be compensated for our gift of money to the Supercell team.

It's a fee/tax by choice you don't have to take part in it but if you do it will cost you. I'd much rather have SC get their money from people who can afford to decorate their farm rather than having to resort to requiring me to buy a machine for 200 diamonds in order to make a doodad. I'm sorry that everyone got their hopes up for turning their farm into the canals of venice but thems the breaks. enjoy the parts that make your game more enjoyable and complain about what actually effects your gameplay. I don't see how the cost of a decoration cost changes gameplay.

    Happy Birthday SC

Everyone take a deep breath and let SC know how much we all appreciate their birthday gift to us for making them a huge success and a rich company.

Think of it this way, 1 gold voucher still costs 80 diamonds. That's 10 ditches u can buy for the price of 1 gold voucher. Awesome deal!

Please dont apologize for me. I said pretty much what I wanted to say as well as the many others who have also posted their feelings. SuperCell welcomes feedback, sadly that feedback is not always positive.

While I do agree and completely understand your point of veiw, that would mean Supercell is catering to the high levels on these updates and they are turning a blind eye to the other 85% of their players. I've comfortably played this game for nearly a year and a half (daily). I am lvl 50 and never ever gotten a movie ticket. In fact i was level 40 before i found out they existed. I just don't understand why some players are excluded in some aspects of the game while others included and promoted...
