At least that is a nice positive thing. It is not so bad to be given something to aim for in the long term. I remember when I started playing, I looked forward to the day when I could have plots of indigo just for decoration purposes, and a merry-go-round, and a big pond. Waiting can be fun.

Good point. And on reflection it is my choice what to spend spare diamonds on. Thinking about it, will probably say "hasta la vista" to Tom for a while, and put my savings into the ditch (figuratively speaking!) ... a lower level prettier farm has more appeal.

I have almost no decoration on my farm as i don't care for it, but I do love the ditches. Too bad they cost so much or I would've built a giant web of them already. For now I still have none.

I'm just going to say it...it *is* condescending to dismiss other people's concerns just because one does not think the same way. And that goes for every topic in these forums.

I spend money on this game. A lot of it. I *can* afford to buy the ditches and trails right now. Lots of them. None of that changes the fact that the price is high and that I won't do it. This is the same thing Zynga did and the people for Paradise Cove are doing right now. They start charging real money for everything worth having, and it becomes so that the game is not fun to play anymore. Not because you can't still play for free; but because all the things that make the playing fun are *not* free.

Further, it seems exploitative to set the price this high *because* they knew so many players wanted water features. (tell us what you want so we can really, really, really profit from it). Letting our feelings be known is not simply whining or complaining. In my experience, it's the first step toward a gradual decline in play not because you don't like the game or the company, but because you start to feel used. Profit is one thing. What feels like gouging is very different.

Look, I still like the game and the company hasn't entered my bad books by far. But this is edging closer toward the wrong direction in my opinion.

I hate what SC has done in this update. Too many players are going to be left feeling left behind because they can't spend a ton of hard cash here. This is creating economic social classes between the players. It's unfair and I feel its down right "dirty". We have vouchers that we cannot use for much that are obtainable by every player, why not use them? Hay Day was always socially equal to all players. Everyone had access to all game aspects, no more! It's starting to feel like they are targeting the game to "desirable" players. I am angry!

The update has certainly dampened my mood.
previous updates weve had lots of exciting new content, machines etc. I know they can't do that every time but it just felt all this was hyped up with it being the birthday update and it's not a lot more than animals in clothes, decorations a lot of players probably won't bother getting and Derby changes which everyone is arguing about
