Loot penalty when attacking 1 TH level below you should be increased

Hello clashers!

I'm sure you've all been here before. Stockpiling your resources for a big upgrade when, all of a sudden, someone one town hall level above yours comes along and 3 stars your base without even trying. No matter how good your base or defenses are, they can always manage to just barch their way into all of your resources. As a TH8, it's the most aggravating thing to see a TH9 with an archer queen, 4 spells, increased troop levels, and 20 extra housing space come along and get all of your loot, and they still get 90% of your loot.

This is ridiculous. In my opinion, the penalty should at LEAST be set at 80%, perhaps even better at 75%. By doing this, players can't just pick on the little guys, and must actually attack people that stand a chance. I would even be okay with myself not being able to get loot fro TH7s as effectively. I feel by doing this the game would be much more fair.

I was just complaining bout this awhile ago. Hahahaha. Seeing a lvl 13 queen with black giants is a sight for sore eyes. I agree.

Most people attacking bases below them are either A, matched there normally and shouldn't be punished, or B, a troll and won't care about the loot penalties.

I don't agree
A few days ago (I was farming de in silver) i got attacked by a th9 (I'm a th8) and I lost 18000de! This was so annoying as it took me ages against th8 dragon attacks and de zappers. When I checked the guy who hit me was in masters league so he obviously came i to silver in search of farmers like me who offer so much loot (4/500k of elixir and gold) and take it all
So it is either the matchmaking is realy bad or players need less loot from lower townhalls

This is frankly impossible. As a TH8 the maximum that can be taken from your storages is 2,000 DE and that is by another TH8. The maximum DE that TH 9 could take from you would be 1,800 (which I assume is actually what you meant) plus 365 from a full DE drill.

Also the maximum Gold/Elixir which can be taken from a TH8s storages by a TH9 is 270,000 of each.

OT: The loot penalty is absolutely fine as it is. Yes, us TH9s can smash through TH8 bases but don't forget that you can do the same to TH7s and TH7s do it to 6s etc.

Nah I reckon it's fine - I have a th7 account that gets hit by th8's all the time, If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have good base testing logs haha.

This is because those people only want your DE, and if you're offering 1,800 of it up then you are going to get hit, and don't care about the league bonus or winning. It also helps them out for their next raid as they surrender before their King or Queen's regeneration time climbs too high.

These people are not trolling you* they are just farming in the most efficient way in order to upgrade their bases quickly.

Edit; Could you please use standard notation for your figures. Once again I assume that you mean 2,000/two thousand rather than the 20,000/twenty thousand that you actually wrote.

Nope, they aren't. If this was put in the game, then a th7 should attack th7 to get loot. As they have 3 mortars, it will be a lot harder for barch.
That's the game. You steal resources from people worse than you. Deal with it.
