First of all, aesthetics are how something looks. Maybe adding a few dots on a painting to make it look better.
My ideas:
1) Make the light shining from within Dark Barracks come all the way outside like the Barracks. (Look at an active Barracks and an active Dark Barracks side by side to understand what I am saying.)
2) Make the Dark barracks light a different color. (Blue, Red, etc.)
3) On level three Dark Barracks (valkyrie) make BOTH weapons on top be axes.
4) Smooth the stone on the Dark barracks (lvl 5 and 6). I understand damaged stone on lvl 4, because of the golems, but at 5 and 6 it should be smoothed out.
5) Make the Barracks roofs browner. They are too red.
6) Make the pekka-head's eyes pulse on lvl 10 Barracks.
7) Make the head on top of the barracks change to match that of the head of the pekka level you have.
