We cannot totally eradicate spies. We actually would like to welcome them in our clan and give them a quick boot on their butt cheeks. In fact, a spy got through our clan even though our clan setting is on "Invite only" and none of us invited that spy. Seems like a glitch or something.

Almost certainly someone was looking at the player’s profile and accidentally hit Invite. It happens more often than you think and often people don’t even know they have mis-tapped.

The only way a person can join a new clan is to leave their current clan and become available toInvite. The Invite button is physically very close to Visit.

Hmmmnnn... That could be possible. But there's a very slim chance that it happened that way. But anyway, they lost the war so their spying went atomically useless.

[QUOTE=Ianskyehero2;4732968]Now I just had an idea about how to stop spies in clan wars! It is really simple too! All you have to do is ban them for life! Just kidding! But seriously I think when you leave a clan a 2 day timer starts and while that timer is active that person can not look at anybody's traps. I personally think this would be good for the next update! Tell me what you think! -Ian(Quote)

Well...an simple and easy idea is to not let the players that were in the clan that is having war to join the opponent clan, no matter if ur in the war or not or u left the clan. Players from one of the clan can only join the other after the whole war have ended. Its jus my suggestion.

what if the spy came to not scout people's bases, but to get information of what they're gonna use in war? still could be dangerous.

counter those spying problems by setting your clan type to 'closed'.. why not use the existing features already?

There is one problem my clan has wars back to back so we would always be closed!

I've said this before and agree. Make it so spectators can't see traps or cc troops.

While spying isn't against the rules I feel it hurts clans trying to grow and want to war constantly. Either you risk having spies and allow people in, close the clan completely, or recruit through forums (best method but excludes many players).

Biggest argument against I have heard is spectators advising on bases. While I'm sure this happens sometimes it would be as easy as copying your war base to your normal base to show them the traps. Personally I think this is a small price to pay to allow clans to open up their clans to new players all the time.

If something like this doesn't get added then I suggest closing your clan inbetween wars. My old clan always did that before.

Closing your clan doesn’t preclude you from trawling global for prospects and extending an Invite, or using a PM pre-arranging a change in clan status with a known prospect from the forum.

At one point I ran an alliance of 4 clans, one was req n go, one was a feeder/trainer, one is for under 21s and the other is adults only. The req n go was open, the trainer was invite but closed in war and the other two closed unless people were transferring. None of these clans were over 20 members, and two were far from stable.

Once again, SC has given Clan Leaders the tools they need and it’s only the naive or lazy that refuse to use them then whinge about spies.
