Apologies if it has already been noted, however I couldn't find it anywhere....I'm wasting quite a few gold vouchers trying to catch the gold fish, in area 10, small circle. Can someone describe the behaviour of the gold fish?

Thanks for that, SaudiG. I had read Archermike's description however someone else posted that they had caught a gold fish that moved around in a very slow manner, so of course I then ended up wasting gold vouchers on Rudds again!!
I'll try again and wait for one to dart around.

Unfortunately I learned the hard way how to fish before I discovered this site in that I know just becuse it's jumping in one area doesn't mean it can be caught in that area. Caught the white catfish and working on the Bullhead. Taking my time and trying not to get Rudd again.

Fish I saw was not goldfish becuse it did have whisker definitely not the others you mentioned either. It's golden brown with green back fin and it's the size of golden trout. Could it be carp? I have pic I will try and post it.

Like the others said, that is the new black bullhead that can be caught in area 9 with a small gold or green lure.

pss: I probably forgot a bunch of things so please feel free to add on if you feel it helps and I will expand/discuss if or how it works. One thing that comes to mind is displacement/rotation theory that took me a while to confirm and is easy to do once you know how to identify the fish jumping in the area you are fishing at. What displacement/rotation does is save you time. So if I am fishing for the golden trout(gt) and I know the other fish jumping do not bite on worm lures, I will throw a worm lure in which now rotates out one of the fish or you can use any other lure color that the current 3 fish jumping would not bite on. You do this because when you are using a gold lure over and over you will eventually end up with all 3 fish jumping that bite on gold lures. 2 rudds and a greater redhorse commonly happens or a rudd, greater redhorse, and yellow bass.

Lets use the rudd, greater redhorse, and yellow bass for an example. If I throw out a green lure chances are nothing will happen because the rudd also takes green. The same goes for the greater redhorse with a purple lure and a blue lure with the yellow bass so I must throw out a worm lure(btw-as soon as it bites the lure I can let go as its rotated in)to displace one of the 3 jumping fish and it rotates in a new fish that can be caught with a worm. Now I cast my gold lure again to hope that it rotated in the gt. I do not wait and watch the jumping fish as that takes too much time. I know the patterns of the fish when they bite so its easy for me to know which fish gets rotated in. If you cast a gold lure a second time it usually displaces the fish that takes the worm so I keep casting the gold lure until the same 3 fish keep biting and if that happens its time to displace again. repeat until the gt bites and catch it. BTW, this displacement/rotation works on any area and any fish not just the gt.

This information will in the end help me catch the fish I need (I hope) but I still don't understand how it works.

Example, I'm trying to catch a rainbow smelt in area 3.
I see a Rudd, a rainbow smelt and I think it was a Speckled dace jumping in this area.
What should I do with above information in mind?

Before I forget. Supercell support contacted me and said area 10 will hopefully be fixed with next update.

I am referring to how difficult it is to see fish and inner circle when you are over the dark spot in the middle of area 10.

I caught 65 golden trout in the last 3 weeks.

1 gold gt, 25 silver gt, 30 bronze gt, 9 no medal gt in last 3 weeks.

I caught my last fish medal tonight of the 102. Add in the 12 community fish which makes 114 fish medals.

Golden Trout 2.617 lbs gold medal.

I was down to my last 2 gold vouchers and thought I would never get this done. Now I can save up for the next community fish event or get some new donkeys.
