How is your fishing going..??

Hi Mike, you have really well in only two months... To get all 90 awarded fish is a massive achievement, and I think only four people have completed it thus far, to the best of my knowledge... Don't underestimate how difficult this is...!!! lol.

The Gold miner achievement is not too hard, and I am currently onwards with Helter Smelter as well. I also still have the two biggest fishing awards to get, the Boathunter III, Citizen Kane as well, but I don't advertise that much... They will finish when they do, because I'm not really in a rush to complete the achievements...

The masteries on the other hand, I really did push on to get those... The three last ones, and the hardest to complete, were the jewellery kiosk, the coffee kiosk, and those feed mills...!!! They took FOOOOOORRRREEEVVVVEEEER... hehe. I maxed up the slots on the feed mills and the coffee kiosk ASAP, but it's not necessary on the jewellery kiosk due to the really long production times. I settled at 5 on this one. Just try to keep them as busy as you can for as long as you can...???

My next two targets are to complete all the achievements, and catch all 90 awarded fish, but it's going to take a while yet...

There was/is a lot of helpers and contributors towards the fishing threads, and pleased it all helped you progress...

I caught a fallfish in area 6 tonight so that makes all areas for fallfish.

last night I thought I caught a rainbowfish in area 2 but I fell asleep within minutes of doing that so I cannot confirm for sure. What happened is I caught the rainbow and only areas 1&2 were open but because I did not write it down I would rather wait for someone to confirm it for sure. Sorry.

For areas 2,3,6,8. When the fish get near the center, they start darting to the side. I'm wondering if I'm doing this the hard way because even though I caught all 30 fish, a lot of the trout and carp and speckled dace get away. Sometimes it's right at the beginning of the catch. They take the lure and dart for the side and make it out. So then you cast for 20-30 more times sometimes to get the small circle and then you might have to make sure the fish is fast and jerks/darts a lot so you know it's one of the carps,trouts,daces. If they do not dart really fast, I let them go. This question could of been for all areas but we know now from everyone's help that 2,3,6,8 are where the hardest fish to catch are. When the fish gets close to the center circle, what do you do? Circles? Pull from opposite side and hope it works? Keep pulling until its in the center?

Thanks for the info, it's been updated... Fancy falling asleep... lol. I know the feeling though... As for the fish that fight, my missus does the "go round in circles tactic" whereas I tend to go from side to side as fast as I can when they make a dart for it... It's optional, and the lines break regularly...!!! I still think it's 50/50 between pot luck and skill...??? My latest ploy is to try and keep the line as short as I can, to allow for the dash to escape...!!!

Only 11 more fish to go to complete the full set...!!! Still haven't caught my first Brook Trout yet, which will mean I have at least one of every species... Turning out to be harder than getting all the masteries... lol

lol. Where have you been...?? I thought you had quit on us... Mike will no doubt be pleased about your confirmation... This is more or less the last one to be caught in all areas, so it's no wonder the fishing is as unpopular as it is...??? Thanks for the info.

Thanks to Corncob's massive input on this thread, it's beginning to look like every fish (all by a couple) is going to be available in EVERY AREA. It's a bit ridiculous when there is 90 different awards to be gotten from the fishing...!!! I can understand why a lot of people have gone off it...!!!

TIP: If you hook one and it's not the correct circle size, remember to just let it go... (You DO NOT lose your lure..)
TIP: Watch out for fish really attacking the lure at speed - These tend to be the biggest and hardest ones to get.
