Hi John, Guess u missed my previous post. Here it is again. Longear Sunfish - Area 8. This thread moves pretty fast, doesn't it? Edit: Also, is there a way to differentiate the golden trout from the Rudd?

I did miss it, thanks for pointing it out, and yes it's hectic some days... Lol... It's been added.

The Golden Trout and the Rudd are both in area 3, and both can be caught with a gold lure, and both have a small spot...!!! I can't remember if the Rudd 'attacks' the lure at speed the same way the Golden Trout does, but it's worth watching out for..??? I tend to think they are both exactly the same though, and people are cursing all over for getting Rudd all the time in that area, because it's costing an expensive gold lure... Hence the new nickname - Crudd...!!! Hehe.

Just went to update the Golden trout thread, and found this from corncob...

"If the fish does not move around like mad it is not a golden trout. Just release it and try again. The Rudd is moving much slower."

This should help your quest...???

LOL! Love the new nickname! From this time forwards, it's no longer the most hated Rudd but the extremely feared CRUDD!

Have lost ALL hope! Won a gold voucher first thing in the morning and immediately went to make a gold lure. Was extremely hopeful. Kept fishing for nearly 20 mins, letting all lazy fishes go, and finally found one that put up a fight and had the smallest circle. Fought with the fish for an entire minute, and what do I finally reel in? Yep, the CRUDD!

I HATE RUDD! How dare it swallow my one and only gold lure!

Been there, done that, more than once... That new nickname is very apt... Know exactly how you feel... Always try to think positively, because you WILL get one eventually - it just might take a bit longer that's all... Lol.

Here's my list from above with numbers instead:

• Brook Trout (small spot): 8
• Coho Salmon (small spot): 2
• Grass Carp (small spot): 2
• Largemouth Bass (large spot): 3
• Northern Pike (large spot): 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8.
• Northern Studfish (medium spot): 1, 3, 4, 6.
• Rainbow Fish (medium spot): 1, 4, 5, 7, 8.
• Roach (large spot): 3, 5, 6, 8.
• Rudd (small spot): 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
• Shadow Bass (large spot): 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8.
• Spotted Sunfish (medium spot): 2, 3, 5, 7.
• Yellow Perch (large spot): 1, 2, 3, 7.

I've been searching this thread but cannot find what I'm looking for, can anyone put me in the right direction? There seems to be a list on which you can see where to fish, with what lure, to catch a certain fish.

I only need ONE kind of fish. The one that should be on page 7 (ipad) down, right. I can see I have to use a golden lure, but where, what spot? And what is the missing fish?

I spoiled 3 golden lures so need some advice!

Think that's the Speckled Dace area 7 small spot, only other fish that's gold lure only
