Change name for Clan [REQUEST]

If a person can get hold of your device, they can change your clan name on a whim. The number checks and balances are irrelevant if they all take place in-game or on one device.

And oh... Have you heard about the app lock which can protect your CoC app from pranksters? You can do a double lock on your CoC app by locking your device and locking the app so only you can use it. If a clan leader doesn't know how to protect his CoC app from unexpected intruders, then he's being careless or stupid, or too trusting for that matter.

I leave the clan name change option to SUPERCELL now.

Seriously, if you have read the threads on stolen devices, stolen clans, stolens accounts, unintentional name changes, malicious name changes, mischievious name changes, it is impossible to deny that a proposal to allow clan name changes will not be without issue.

I have only seen a tiny number of clan name change reasons that are remotely necessary or valid (kdrakakis’ clan Greece is one) and those people should be able to contsct SC to request SC change the clan name.

There is absolutely no need to allow clan names to change for vanity or cosmetic reasons. Such changes add nothing to the game and are no benefit to the rest of the CoC community, but the addition of a clan name change tool will disadvantage some people.

I understand of course... They're just lazy to secure their devices and apps, so it's ultimately their responsibility if they allowed pranks to be done on their CoC install. They just need to grow some furry balls of awareness that they have to secure their devices and CoC app from a potential prankster around them.

As I have said, only clan leader will be allowed to change the name of their clan at Clan Level 5 and above.

So, the clan leader must be fully responsible and wise enough to protect his device and CoC app to avoid unnecessary clan renaming to happen.

I wish they would allow a clan name change. But I think it should only be allowed by the Leader, not the CO Leaders. Too much risk by letting too many people be able to change it.

When we created are clan name we were the farming clan tied to a warring clan. The war clan fell apart and we have since gone to warring 3X a week. We are lvl 4 and 1/3 to lvl 5. We of course are not going anywhere as we have worked hard for our lvl. But we sure would like a chance to re name our selves.

My friend got my device when I was asleep and changed my clan name to a swear word in Klingon. All my Klingon classmates laugh at me now. Pls pls pls Supercell let me change it back to Elite Wonder Soldiers. I will even pay with gems. Please Supercell.

i guess it would be a nice idea to have a change name feature at certain clan levels, like at clan lv 2, 9. so the clan will have to do wars upon wars to have a change in name. just a suggestion
