Upgrades don't continue while lab is under upgrade. They are paused.

At least even the most experienced members don't know everything.

I'm going to be checking this in about 15 days (TH9 upgrade started on my no defense account) Ash is highly knowledgeable so maybe it changed back recently. There's no harm to having a lab upgrade going, and I expect to get 5 free days (might not).

You mean they always paused? They used to keep going. In a past update they changed it but didn't tell us. There's many things in updates that they don't announce, some more important than others. Like dragons breath when attacking...

I'm not sure if they changed it, since they never mentioned it in any update. I remember a long time ago when I thought it worked like that, so I started upgrading a troop then upgraded my Laboratory at the same time. When the upgrade of my Lab was complete, the troop that I was upgrading in it was not progressing at the same time. It just picked off from where it was before I placed the Lab on construction.

So yea, maybe Supercell changed this secretly at some point. Like Purple Sprite stated, Supercell makes a lot of hidden updates to the game that they don't mention.

I successfully upgraded Barbs and my lab about a week ago on a th5 alt acct.

I successfully did my lab and giants not too long ago. (Couple week after update)

You need to close the app after lab finishes and log back in and it'll be upgraded.
