Why No Credit For War Prep Clan Castle donations?

This is such a ripoff for the people at the top of the clan feeding all the clan castles with high level troops only to get no credit on the donations tally. ♥♥♥ is up with that?

War CC donations should not count for achievements. If they did newbs would spam giants in there to get achievement gems. Only the best troops should go in there. Chances are if you have good enough troops to place in war CC's you have already met your friend in need achievement, if not do better. The benefit to donating to war CC's is strong team defense. The benefit to donating strong troops for everyday requests is a strong clan. No additional perks are necessary.

It's because there is no "waiting" period to empty them out and fill them again............you could easily have 50k donations per war if you wanted.

There already is. +1 to wars won and war loot bonus.

Or don't donate any troops (or ♥♥♥♥ cheap troops) and have less of a chance to win.

Oh man I hope they allow it as a toggle on/off feature based on clans set by leaders. B/c I would love to see how fast you eat your words when low levels start hemorrhaging level 2/3 giants into all your bases so they can get the FIN achievement, and how that affects your war results.

My main account just finished with a 5,000/3,000 ratio from village donations this past season, and my mini with a 12,500/800 ratio. Together, my two accounts fill up anywhere from 60-100% of all 50 members' war bases, depending on what troops we decide on and the cc capacity of each participant. This includes high cost wizards as well as witches and valks for dark troops. Do I care that another cumulative 6,000+ "Troops Donated" are left off my two accounts stats after 6 wars each season? No. B/c what we care about is winning the war, regardless of the cost invested into ensuring we win.

Join a farming clan or a "Req & ♥♥♥♥" clan if you want to pat yourself on the back for your donation numbers.

Well in my clan they want the leaders and co-leaders to have good donation ratios, so when you don't get ♥♥♥♥ for war prep it hurts the overall numbers.

No. I can't believe I'm even engaging in this conversation. The donation ration your leader expects is based on non-war donations. Only the best troops should be allowed to be donated to war castles (which only your top players have). It is known that they are doing the donating. It has nothing to do with how much you help out the rest of the clan during non-war play. This would just make it possible for someone to inflate their ratio using war castles and not have to donate the rest of the time. Shameful.

You could just tell them how much you donated? Or assign certain players to donate?

To answer the OP question: Too easily exploitable. I can fill my wife's war cc; she can dump the troops; I can fill again; repeat, repeat, repeat; ... and how I'm the greatest donator ever!

If this data is important to a clan, they can track these numbers on their own. There is nothing gained by having SC add a tracking feature.

Who's "they?" The elders and members? Tell them to ♥♥♥♥ off, haha. If the leader/coleaders are setting that requirement, and they're aware that it might be difficult when they're donating to war bases without getting credit, then simply agree to stop mandatory minimum/maximum donation ratios.

We don't do mandatory ratios in our clan. The problems that come with having them are that you get low levels who donate their troops for others' war attacks, which absolutely hurt our chances. We tell our members to make their requests very specific, as in troop type and minimum level needed, but to try and be a bit more relaxed on level for farming purposes if they can. And then our members know to only donate if they have the requested troops, otherwise let someone who does have them donate it. Because of this, our members understand if they request things for farming that people don't typically have on hand (things like dark troops, or expensive troops other than archers, barbs, giants, wizards) then they may be waiting a bit longer, but eventually they'll get what they need.

The only time we look at donation ratios are for members who opt out of war for extended periods of time, and this is not so much us caring about their donation ratios as it is us wanting to ensure that we can continue to do 45-50 member wars.

I strongly suggest you try to implement this method, especially with donation refunds alleviating some of the elixir/dark elixir costs of donating. Makes for a very happy clan and fantastic war results.
