OK so we have the rage spell for units when we attack it increases their performance. So what about a trap that when attackers get close it releases a defensive spell that increases the defensive performance. So let's say when it gets triggered it increases the fire rate of the defences in the area by like 5% and is increased by 2% every upgrade. This came across me as a good idea when seeing one of my cannons get absolutely horded by barbarians. Just as I'm sure it has its flaws and could be improved but I think it could add some more planing to attacks and preparedness. Also I'd see that a rage spell could cancel out the trap spell by giving born things a boost it would be almost like taking regular damage will moving faster.
