Max Hogs or Max Valks/TH9 Upgrade

I'm starting to think you don't know what you are talking about. What valk users have you come into contact with? lol you are spewing misinformation about a troop you don't know how to use. Just because you are not good at something, doesn't mean that you should impose your insecurities on other people.

That was a nice raid, i give credit where its due, but that base wasn't 3 starred by hogs, as advertised, it was 3 starred by Max Heroes Bro. Not to take anything away from it but its easy to smash a base up with MAX heroes man.

A few of the bases were even maxed, but if you want me to lay it on with full replays of Maxed Th9's getting 3 starred no problem.

The OP didn't ask "Which Troop is better" he asked which troop should they upgrade to max first. I never said hogs sucked, i gave them credit where its due. You should do the same with valks instead of talking out your rear end and taking away from your own credibility.

ok first off im not saying valks are a bad troop, but you misunderstood what i said before... i said valks cant threestar all the th9s that surgical hogs can.

Valks can threestar, but listen, you do realize some bases arent the right ones for valks... ive done a couple of govalo's before and even i know that they only work certain bases...thats why hogs are the better choice. and again im not trying to insult your clan, but you cant really use valks against the highly compartmentalized anti threestar bases people are using theses days.

Your understanding of hogs makes me think you havent used them in awhile, which you should because currently they dominate th9s.

and also about the attack i showed, max heros by cant threestar other th10s easily... ask all the th10s about it, it was the strategy he used that threestarred it with the heroes.

again, im not trying to be insulting to you or your clan, but until you show me an anti threestar base getting threestarred by valks, ill consider hogs bettter

I'm an avid valk user and have been using VaLoon and VaHoLo (even VaLaLo...not anymore) since probably December but there is no way you should ever upgrade valks before hogs or loons.


valk hybrids are a specialized attack used only for certain bases (2+ ADs in same compartment, queen and dgbs in same, GoHo able bases with a hard to reach queen etc). Plus you can get away with lvl 2 valks you can't get away with lvl 3-4 hogs

Currently I have 3 stared 3 bases with VaLo, Shattered and Stoned (the 1st two were weaker Th10 but the last one was decent strength)

EDIT: You do know OneHive does VaLo attacks at Th9, right? I run \/alhall and we occasionally get a OneHive member. Milanese was one of our originals from their.



Though, watching your video you do give me some ideas how to get my HoVa attacks from 75-90% to 100.

yeah i know that some of onehive uses valks a lot and they are a good troop, but they shouldnt be upgraded before hogs or loons

Not all bases are Loon-able


Valkyrie can also be used in various combinations involving PEKKA, Golems, Witches, Giants, Hogs, and Balloons to handle different base types. So they are much more flexible than people give them credit for.


As far as which to upgrade first. Yes Valkyrie level 2-4 won't produce as noticeable a difference as Hogs 4-5. However, at Th9 at level 4 (if you master the technique) you can pretty much ram this troop down the throat of most bases w/o a lure. Swap that lightening out for a heal. You won't find many videos on it, but I've 3 stared with GoViz before at the Th9 level.


However, watching your particular OneHive selections gives me some ideas for a potential HoVa 3 star Th10 combos. I see they use the golems to allow them to bring more heal. In my own attempts I struggled with that.


Still if talking about 3 stars, as impressive as hog 3 stars are on Th10 - their very hard to do. You have to be able to predict or already know GB locations and be able to neutralize the inferno fire. You could just as well end up with 0-1 stars if things go awry.

Do hogs, the fit into more attack strategies than valks. I love valks dont get me wrong, my favorite troop, but hogs are more versatile.

Right now with the current base designs, all th9sncan be 3 starred by a good hogger. A good Looner will likewise crush any base. The bases that are VaLoonable (my favorite attack) and VaHoLoable are always HoLo, GoLo, and usually LaLoon able....and they can always be hogged. I mean don't get me wrong. I love my little day walkers but they just aren't as versatile as Hogs.


Now now the good thing about valk hybrid attacks is they are very forgiving. It's easy to recover when you screw something up plus for casual warriors even if you screw the pooch hard you'll still get 2 stars

idk when the last time you have used hogs was, but if you watch further into the video i shared a while back you'll see the bases i was talking about that valks would be uselesss for, but hogs can wreck. seriously though, check out what surgical hogs can do then tell me what you think.

im glad that the video helped you in developing your attacks, but again, if you actually see what they can do, you would agree with me
