Hello everyone, Brenden here! I would include this in my other thread, but I feel it deserved its own thread. As you all know, allowing upgrading heros just for war is something commonly accepted as a feature this game needs for a level playing field in wars. Not everyone agrees on the way to do it, but everyone agrees it needs to happen. Supercell has never been clear as to why this hasn't happened, although they have acknowledged it is something alot of the community wants. So lets see whats stopping Supercell from adding this very sought after feature :
Official SUPERCELL Response : "There are several technical issues with having heroes available during war but not in multiplayer (not to mention the weird combinations possible - heroes defending, regenerating, attacking in war right before the upgrade finishes etc etc) and one of the reasons is that, while we take "snapshots" of War Bases for defense in war, we do no such thing for attacking armies. In short: to my knowledge this idea is not ruled out, but it's not something I see happening anytime soon due to its technical complexity"
Official DADDY Response : "It's not really greed it's just the way it's intended to be for consistency.
Defending upgrading buildings/heroes are active in CW (last built level). Attacking upgrading troops/spells are not. It's a very contentious issue I know and some will be upset by this but i've discussed it face to face with SC and it's the way the game is designed they are unlikely to change it. For the record I think they should be available - I was trying to pitch it to them that they should change it."
So, apparently it would be too difficult for a million dollar development team to figure out, and they want to keep it consistent with other war features. Previous level buildings are allowed, previous level troops are allowed, previous level clan castles are allowed to be used, but previous level heros are NOT. Seems very consistent to meDaddy we love you!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Im not ganna say its because Supercell doesn't want to lose profits, BUT lets figure out some different ways that Supercell could fix this hero upgrading problem, and put everyone back on a level playing field. Clashers put your thinking caps on! I would love to hear all of your ideas, and see which one of them is most popular. Fellow clashers, Supercell is not doing anything anytime soon, so lets figure out this hero problem for them.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHICH IDEA YOU WOULD MOST PREFER BEING IMPLEMENTED, SHARE YOUR IDEAS, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE!I will cast the first vote#1 for me!
1) Allow heros upgrading to be available during war attacks [1]
2) Allow heros upgrading to be available during war attacks at reduced strength [0]
3) Allow heros to be used in war without interrupting upgrade process for a small gem fee per war [0]
4) Lock in hero status at war start and let upgrading heros affect war base strength (missing a hero, your base is weaker) [0]
5) Add a third hero so we can always be upgrading one and swap in the others accordingly [0]
6) ???

All I know is I will never pay 700 gems just to rush a hero for one war attack, no matter how much money irl I do or don't have, lol.
