What is the best way to use dragons? I have ten (10) level 2 dragons are about to finish training. Should I spawn all at one point? Or spread them out around the base? Do two sets of three first on adjacent sides and then when the sides are mostly clear, send in the rest to aim for the core?
I have a BK and three rage spells to complement the dragons.
Upon using dragons, always check the "Air Defense" which you can quickly destroy since that is the key on cleaning a base with dragons and after that you can spread them all over the base.

When using them, it's nice to bring 20 archers in place of one of the dragons. With the archers you can usually clear a lot of exterior buildings which will help the dragons a lot. If you leave the ring of structures outside the walls intact, sometimes the dragons will go merry-go-round style around the outside of the base while they're getting hammered by towers, which can be a disaster for your attack. If you can clear the outside structures it generally assures the dragons will go straight for the interior of the base.
I love using about 6 dragons and 30-40 minions. Here is what I do
I never spawn them all on top of each other.
If an AA is near the outer rim of the base I will plant 3 fairly close (but far enough to avoid wizard tower splash damage) together near that AA (since you have 10). Since you have rage you could then use that to get to the AA quickly. (If you need to)
I'll do this to each easily accessible AA. This means within 1 set of buildings (2 if they don't have much hp)
Make sure you can access the collectors by taking out what AA is easily destroyed, otherwise don't attack
If you've deployed 7 dragons I'd recommend hanging on to 1 or 2 to see if you need to strategically place them. Dragons can be pretty dumb. They have the AI of a barbarian and I have had more than one epically botched attack because the dragons just circled the defenses.
If you go all dragons the AA is the only thing that will slow you down. The only other thing to consider is if the base has green archer towers with spikes on the little gray parts on the bottom. Towers less upgraded that this really can't do much
Look at the X-Bows to. If they are pointed up, just move on unless the AA is being fixed or is not well upgraded. I don't find them particularly destructive to dragons but then you have two additional towers to factor in. Besides that many people will point them level, making them useless

balloons or minions will help distract the multiple air defenses.
lvl 2 dragons can tank a lvl 1 xbow just fine. same with lvl 4 AD. only trouble is when they get hit from multiple sources with no other troops around to run distraction.
I run lvl 5 balloons and lvl 3 drags together regularly. only base I won't attack is one with very high lvl towers, AD, and archer queen. other than that they pwn everything.
oh and use a rage or two. early. it'll make all the difference. see my sig for an example

I use my drags with minions. I like to drop drags first to clear a path to the center -- then follow with the blue spitters.
If you do have minions:
12 giants
1 healer
2 dragons
7 wb
5 minions
25 goblins
and the rest arch
if you dont have minions, use 10 arch instead.
This army works well, getting 100 precent on TH7s, and getting 600K every attack (well, almost)
