Defending heros should be considered a defense.

Some of my TH9 clan members don't use hogs because of heroes, who do more damage to troops than most defenses, yet are not considered defeses by defense targeting troops, such as hogs. The AQ takes out lots of helpless hogs trying to smash defenses with their hammers. The BK does the same thing. The heroes do move some, so the targeting system might be hard to implement for this (I have no idea). I am just tired of my clanmate raids being ruined by defending units which cannot be targeted by their defense targeting units.

Nice approach to trying to get around that issue. Though I'd bet you'd still be accused of just wanting the Hog Riders to put the hammer down on those annoying special troops.

I'd have to say it wouldn't work too well. It's give and take. If you want defences down, you want them to be single minded. If they get distracted by troops and Hero units, or even just Heros, then that could waste valuable time, and HP, dealing with that issue. Then you'll have bases with stronger anti-hog layouts, as they'd now have a away to lure or stall them where they want them to be.

Just have to deal with it the best you can. Can't have it be too easy, or it wouldn't be much of a game.

Mass hogs at th9 is a recipe of failure against a good base. Try goho if u want to use those hogs

I totally agree. Heroes are defenses and should be viewed as defenses by troops that supposedly target defenses. Now I am not saying that hogs should prioritize taking out heroes, but if it so happens that a hero is the closest defense to them they should attack.

I any hogs based strategy if you don't manage to kill both heros first, then you will lose at least 5-10 hogs while they circle around the defenses being killed.
EDIT: I am talking about clanmates' attacks, I am still just a TH8.
Also, Cyborg, I don't want the range of heroes lessened, I just think that they should be considered a defense when one is defending. They do more damage than most defenses.
CC troops don't bother me, they can be lured. Herod can no longer be lured and killed.
