This could be a great feature I think. Allow a toggle in the settings menu to allow a notification to be sent to your phone if you are mentioned in clan chat.
So many times I get asked for troops while I'm not in game and then I see 2 hours later. Other uses would be if you ask someone in your clan to hit a certain base.

Can there be shortcuts as a nickname. For the longer named people, or the just completely random ones like bjhfbjhdvf, is there going to be a nickname that will send the notification? Like if bjhfbjhdvf nickname is popa, can the notification be sent on popa and not bjhfbjhdvf? If so, I would give a 50% want, as I don't have maxed "main" troops like golem or witch, or hound. Why do people want to get notified about every single thing? Don't you find the current notifications enough? Anyway to answer the topic, I don't think this is a good idea because I think of those people with more general or common names, whose names would cause a chaos in the notification menu. Just get an app for chatting with your clan mates if you are so required in there, so that they can call you there by sending a message.

As a leader I would like to log into the clan chat. We have a lot of people's children and other friends in the clan and aren't as HARDCORE as some of the clans out there.
I also made it clear that it would be an option to check in the settings menu if you want to get notified. Not a mandatory thing.
Maybe a "#" or something brings up a list of people who have their notifications checked and you can select from that list.
Clans with multiple people who have the same name? Would they all be notified? Honestly I wouldn't care if my name is brought up. I can just read it if something is said about me.

Being able to select the name from a list would eliminate duplicate names being confusing.... Our chat fills quick so if I miss someone talking to me it can be gone in an hour. It's hard to "just read it" if it is deleted from the chat history. I don't care if you personally care about your name being brought up, I and other coleaders in my clan would find the feature useful.
Sounds like you are in a small boring inactive clan.
