Why doesnt supercell allow heroes to be upgraded there?
This will easily allow people to attack with heroes in war which is such a big bone of contention.

As of right now, you can upgrade a troop, your king and queen at the exact same time.
This idea may be great for those that finished their troop upgrades, but for everyone else, it would cause a huge bottle neck for upgrading.
Plus your heroes are not like other troops. They have an alter and can defend your base. They also have abilities and up to 40 levels, versus 7 for some troops. Are you willing to give all that up just to be able to do their upgrades in the lab?
There is a hundred better ways to make heroes usable when they are needed, both in wars and otherwise. I tend to agree with the previous post, I do not want to waste my normal troop upgrades on heroes.
Supercell makes money from gemmed hero upgrades. This is reason this will not happen.

agree with others. Being able to upgrade heroes and lab upgrades simultaneously is more important, even since the introduction of clan wars.
And the money they're making from people gemming heroes to be playable on offense in clan wars must be worth it for SC to keep things the way they are.
I rarely use gems, and I find myself using them for clan wars when my hero only has less than a day left to upgrade and I really want that hero available to help my clan win a close war.

i agree to this post.intially it looks like that upgrading heroes by builder is fast way as some of above post suggested. but once your heroes cross lvl 15 or 20 then it is huge amount of dark elixer needed to upgrade 2 heroes at a time. also it reqiure a whole week to upgrade 1 hero. and there are 40 lvl. practically makes it impossible to use heroes.
so here is alternative... allow Th10 players to upgrade laboratory to unlock heroes upgrade from lab, disabling doing it with builders. in that way it will b optional. if ur heores are low level then dont upgrade the lab.
