Trophy Push - What army to use and should I change my base design?

    hi guys and gals,

quick question for your thoughts. Our clan is having a trophy push in 3 days time and I was wondering what kind of army I should be going with to maximise trophies. I'm a TH8 with most of my troops maxed (only things not maxed are balloons, Pekkas and dark troops).

I was thinking that an army of: 9 giants, 10 WB's, 70 archers and 65 barbs. Would that be ok do you think? Our clan is pretty good at donations so I can ask for pretty much anything to back this up with. Have 25 space in the CC.

Also, is it worth using a hybrid/trophy base or should I just stick with my current farming base (using Pingfao's setup at the moment which, slightly off topic, I can highly recommend!).

Not been on a trophy run before so quite excited to see how high I can go. Be delighted if I can get to 2000 but not sure if that's possible with TH8 troops.

    Any thoughts are appreciated

I suggest switching to Ping's Trophy Hunting base. You can hit 2000, easy!
I personally use balloon minion or Wizard Pekka whilst trophy hunting, but I would suggest Drags for you.

But until you hit 1800 cups, you can use the above army you mentioned.

    Good luck!
    I can't justify having a sig anymore

thanks, I'll give Pingfao's trophy design a go then. His farming one is awesome so it must be good.

I was thinking along similar lines with the army composition. I'm pretty sure I can go up a few hundred with my current army which is cheap and quick to train. Once I hit the high 1700-1800's I was thinking I'll need to beef it up a bit. Level 3 drags and Level 2 Pekkas with some backup should work.

    Cheers for the reply
