I'd like to suggest a new type of trap style defense, the gargoyle. You'd place them on walls and it would swipe at troops with a range of 2-3 tiles.

i don't... understand... if it can be place over walls, does that mean that their space is only 1 tile? and non-pathing which means they can be placed on occupied tiles... no. and gargles (or whatever it is) 'defend' castles, not walls (i think). but a defense that can be placed on a wall is not a really bad idea. kinda cool. though i cant find much usefulness for it (2-3 tile range) and there are a lot of better defenses...
ED... WAAAAARD... IYKWIM HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Defenses/traps on the walls could be a very good answer to the space lack of high town halls. Sadly, the proposal of building built on buildings has been put in "ruled out ideas". Perhaps Gargoyles would be more effective as stand-alone buildings that have as the same time the effect of a weak wall and of an efficient low-range tower.
Do you think it would be ok ?![]()
