Troops are max for th8 except lv1 valks and golems. Was thinking maybe a hog attack, but there might be a double bomb in core. What do you guys think?

Do a surgical hog, no giants. Lure the CC, use kill-squad to kill the CC, then do a surgical hog as you normally would.
