Hi, I am currently at town hall lvl 7 and I was wondering if its best to,
jump ahead and upgrade town hall with one more lvl till defence is maxed,
or upgrade the defence weapons one more lvl so they're maxed and then focus on
upgrading town hall...

I think its best if you max everything out before upgrading so its better in the long run.

Well the th upgrade will take like 7 days I think, so upgrade your town hall and then just finish upgrading that defence in the meantime. So when you do become th8 you will have been maxed
if you've got more than 2 builderhuts (what i hope^^), you could upgrade the townhall and then, while it's upgrading, you could max your defense..
but if you're not very active and farming, you should wait with the townhall

I believe it is better to max all defenses on your town hall level before upgrading town hall. Research the loot penalties about being at that level because attacking different level town halls will bring you loot penalties or bonus'. Its far better to have a stronger lower level town hall rather than a premature higher level town hall.As well as if you upgrade town hall too soon and weren't ready you will likely be stomped by higher level players. I wouldnt rush the town hall upgrade.
