When a troop goes over a patch of slowsand (which is invisible until the troop encounters it) it moves 1/4 of its normal speed. This is a great way to hold off the enemy and let the weapons take them out. One "patch" of slowsand is 2x2, and once it slows down a number of troops worth 10 housing spaces (ex. 3 barbarians, 1 giant, and a wall breaker. Also, any troops over 10 housing spaces, such as PEKKA will not be effected by this) it disappears.
Also, if a spell is dropped on a slowsand, the spell's effects will be 1/4 of its usual effects. (A spell will be considered the equivalent of 10 housing spaces, so if one is dropped on the slowsand, it will disappear after the spell goes away and wont effect any troops during that time.)
And the best part is, although it wouldn't be practical to do this with ALL of your slowsand, it that it can be placed UNDERNEATH buildings and structures! The main point of this is that if someone tries zapping you while you have slowsand underneath, the effects will be less, thus decreasing the number of zappers!
When you reach town hall 6, you will be allowed to buy up to 3 patches of slowsand, 50,000 gold (could be changed) each. Two town halls later at town hall 8, you can buy two more. You can then get one more patch every town hall after 8, totaling at 7 patches altogether. Finally, slowsand will not be upgradable.
Tell me what you guys think, and make sure to post any changes that you have in mind!
