Importance of Clan Castle

Can someone explain to me why everyone like to center their clan castle so much? Every time I look at a thread with base help everyone suggests putting the clan castle where I would think you would put the Town Hall. Please add detail to your answer if there are any, I don't want to think too much about your reply. Thanks!

CC = tons of dps and health if done properly. If you have 30 archers that is 660 dps extra to your stuff.

well my clan doesn't donate so often there's only like 10 of us, if you know a clan that is looking for TH 7 with 1150-1250 trophy range could you please tell me, I donate archers and giants, sometimes healers wen requested, but won't get dragons until later because that is not a top priority
