i go defense to resources. splash, cannon, archer tower, wizard tower, then any other things.
I usually do army camps and the laboratory. Higher leveled troops and more troops leads to better and more effective raiding, which allows you to upgrade your walls and other buildings quicker. As for the last upgrades, it's usually the barracks since I don't use anything about wallbreakers to raid with.

I always upgrade the lab first too. That unlocks better troops. The light in my lab is always on.
After that its usually splash towers, then teslas (love those!)

I upgrade Cannons, Archer Towers, mines/collectors, Mortars, and Wizard Towers in that order, but I'm thinking about changing that to upgrade splash defenses first next time I upgrade my Town Hall.
