Please Lose the Timeout in Clan Mail

It sometimes takes a bit of fiddling to get your message across to your clan in the limited space available. More often than not, for me, this results in the game kicking me for inactivity. Very frustrating.
Would it be possible to have a similar system for writing that we already have for base designing? By this I mean first and foremost that every touch of the screen counts as activity so you can compose a message without panicking about the unseen timer. Message templates would be handy but the the main problem is definitely the timeout. This problem also applies to the clan header board but obviously this occurs less often. Please Supercell, let us communicate! :-)

Like MarkSjr said, it can be used for spam. Some clans give away free co-leaders without even knowing them very well. If this were to be added, expect so much spam in your mail in less than an hour. Cooldowns are made for a reason, deal with it.

It would be nice if you guys had actually read what the poster was asking.

He wasn't asking for more messages per hour or whatever but asking that they could make it so that the 5 minute timer before you get kicked for being inactive was reset every time you typed in a new character or deleted a character. I.e. every time you made a press on your phone/tablet screen whilst writing your message.

I have not come across this problem myself OP but I know of people who have and it would be a good addition to the game UI.

He was talking about the Inactivity Timeout where you get disconnected for being inactive after a few minutes. While he was typing something in the Mail, the timer kicks him for being "inactive" in the game.

This may be a problem but you have to be a fast typer to finish the Mail real quick before getting kicked by the Inactivity Timeout.

Another, maybe simpler solution, would be to advertise the maximum amount of characters that can be used somewhere on screen when typing the message, somewhat akin to how twitter shows it. This way, at least, if you have a long message to post and are trying to condense it to fit you can try out various permutations somewhere else so that you don't lose the entire message when you get kicked off.

As stated in my previous post I have never had this problem when typing a clan mail but I have lost count of the times when I am on clan chat and suddenly I have run out of characters for a message.

if theres no timeout you will get people who will post every half an hour so when you wake up you will have 20 odd clan messages and this will mean they won't be taken as serious as you want them to be taken

This may be a problem but you have to be a fast typer to finish the Mail real quick before getting kicked by the Inactivity Timeout.

oh. i wasnt able to understand it properly. ok. would be a nice addition to the game, though if i make a clan mail for my clan, i composeit beforehand.

if theres no timeout you will get people who will post every half an hour so when you wake up you will have 20 odd clan messages and this will mean they won't be taken as serious as you want them to be taken

it seems like you encounter the same problem as i did. when the OP said "timeout" he means "disconnected due to inactivity", not "clan mail cooldown".
