Anyone else find themselves with more elixir than they know what to do with?

I'm a level 92 th9 and really the only things i can use elixir on are upgrading elixir storages, building troops, and balloon upgrades (they're the only elixir troop i have left to max out) And i guess arming the xbows. My walls are still dark purple so I've been trying to upgrade those to have something to spend elixir on. Other than that, everything else takes pretty much gold.

Not really sure why the ratio of gold to elixir expenditures are not more aligned.

Any ideas? Thoughts?

I remember a time when you could only upgrade walls with gold and when spells were made at the cost of gold.

They are aligned if you went up to TH9 with skull walls. Once you have got them then you can sink 1 billion elixir into walls to max them out for TH9.

The simple answer is because you rushed to TH9 without L8 skull walls. But now you have huge opportunity to spend elixir on your walls. You can upgrade each wall piece to L8 for just 0.5M gold, then you can spend 4M elixir on it getting it to L10. I can't really see how you're having a problem with excess elixir.

I noticed the same thing but I had all skulls before going to TH9, so I won't have that problem. I guess that's another reason to max skull at TH8 even though many people will tell you there's no need. At some point, you're going to need to spend the 112.5M gold and you'll still have excess elixir.

PS: sheabm brings up a good point. You don't need to do all lvl 8 walls at once.

Walls man. I've dumped millions of elixir into walls as a th9. All you have to do is get a few walls up to skulls then start working those into legos.

Elixir is the lifeblood of the game. People use it for troops, donations, etc and they don't want to suck it all out of the game by making costs too high or allowing low level wall upgrades.

If you are at dark purple walls I would suggest upgrading at least one wall to skull (500k) then you can do lego (1M) and lava (3M) on that same piece. Walls might be a weird combination for a while but it will give you something to spend elixir on.

I remember those days. I used to always have a ton of elixir. Not so much anymore since I use it all on walls.
