Check your achievements .. some of them might be easier to reach than you think, while you are simply idle. (Troll base for the Unbreakable, will lead to trophy gain, which might push you all the way to masters)
Practice expensive raids.. (with more tougher troops follow higher DE gain) furthermore, training time will be higher, thus limiting your actual play time. win/win
Concentrate on school, Clash will be here afterwards.

If you're afraid to lose loot, just let go and move on. You can gain it back anyways or revenge that person once he has lots of loot or think it like this, at least you help that person upgrade or use it in his/her quest in playing CoC.

Real life comes first. Play game when you have other things to do. Never give games priority over school. Uninstall the game until your finals are done and then come back. At least you might see some surprising updates

Forget gaming for now. Concentrate on other more important aspects of life and you will be amazed how much time you can then spend gaming. Easier said than done but very true. Clash is likely to be around for years and even if it isn't, there will something else just as enjoyable.
