No its not one of those click on the profile to add or search their name. My way is to have a code you get when you press the i want to add a friend, then press enter code/get a code. every time you get off the get a code the code is inactive and you get a new code when you press get a code again. This will prevent a large amount of friends that you dont know, and you get to add friends that dont have game center or Facebook. Its a simple way to add friends.
