Seriously? That's your response? I've run into you before, FisherPrice, and I've seen many of your posts. You seem to have a habit of posting toxic gibberish which contributes nothing to the thread or the forum community in general. You really should rethink your purpose here and if there is none, go elsewhere.

On the contrary, I am pointing out the primary reason why it is rather useless to claim that getting attacked means you lose all of your resources and cannot make progress.

That's probably kinda sorta why they put the % and the cap in place, as well as the shields.

There are better forums for learning life lessons than a "free" tablet/phone app game. If is purpose was to have some occasional fun with his grandson then there should be a more casual league that he can pace himself in. The Matchmaking algorithm change made it harder for casual players so Its his right to walk away.

I don't think this has anything to do with someone being better or tougher. It has everything to do with the amount of time he is willing to spend playing the game.

No one is suggesting that he has no right to walk away. He doesn't own his account though, and he has no say over what happens to it when he's done using it.

What does it matter if your village exists or not once you've left the game? Just delete the App from your device and be done with it.

FWIW, I have a few accounts that I'm playing passively (no raiding) and they're doing just fine. Although this forum can be pretty toxic you can get some very, very useful advice so you don't have to be a 'Pro' to enjoy.

Where are you guys getting that the OP was having trouble with clans and clan wars? That's not what the OP was talking about at all. He was referring to the fact that, every time he signs on, all the loot he was trying to save up is gone. This is because you can no longer hide in lower leagues and expect not to get steamrolled by higher level people who want your loot. The game has definitely changed and favors the more active players now. You can say that's good but it's not good for a very large population of clashers. It really is a shame because all the OP wants to do is occasionally have some fun with his grandson and make some decent progress in the game without spending hours at a time on it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. This game use to provide that and really doesn't anymore.

I see your point, I guess with all the definitions of active, inactive, hardcore, casual floating around it's hard to pin down what exactly people are meaning when they run into problems like this. I suppose it would be extremely frustrating to finally find a 300k raid, log off and get run over and lose 300k everyday. I have a hard time relating to these people though since I've gotten into the farming mentality of pulling sessions to make more than you lose to make progress. I guess that's the very thing he's having trouble doing. My advice then would be to focus on wars. if you only attack once or twice a day, might as well make those as interesting as you can.

You have to remember, though, that even if you don't go on that raid, your shield is eventually going to expire anyway. Every day or twice a day. If you don't go on that 300k raid you end up letting your shield expire and then get hit for 300k, so now in terms of raids you are at a loss instead of breaking even.

But really, a person ought to do what they can to raid a minimum of 2-3 times before logging off when breaking a shield.
