Wow, I recognize you from a while back. Too bad you're still losing interest in the game. You can just stop playing, then you can pick up where you left off after quitting. Just in case you want to return. I wish you and your grandson the best of luck and I hope that you two can find a game that suits you guys better.

On a more serious note, I do believe that SC has made this game much more difficult for the casual player, especially with the last update. One of the reasons this game is so popular is because it appealed to such a wide range of people....young, old, serious and casual players. It'll be interesting to see if this works out for them.

No Supercell made the opposit. Before the update you needed a high skill to farm at th10 and get loot out of it. Players with medium skill had real trouble even if not rushed and players with below average skill could not farm at all. There are tons 9f th10s yes even th9s that have given up on farming and only waited passively for their mines starting an upgrade every 2 weeks.
Now also the farmers with below average skill can get loot and even the rushed ones can recover. The game is about attacking, not about waiting for your mines. This is not Hay Day.

With all the talk about professionals: I think the op made bad experience with clans that were doing clan wars. See clan wars as a tournament. If you are not good enough you are not in the team. I think it is better if you move to a farming clan without clan wars. There are also a lot of family clans for casual players and their children that dont take the game so serious. Just talk to the players when entering a clan what you want and what type of clan you are searching for.

My grandson and i both created worlds several months ago on Clash of Clans and were having a great time playing...but no longer. It appears that there are people who have nothing better to do than sit by the computer all day and play the game making this game for "professional" players only. Neither of us have the time, effort, money or desire to sit by and watch our hard work goto waste day in and day out.

Can you delete our worlds or are there there forever>

I'm not sure if they are there forever or not. After so much time of inactivity your bases will be at the back of people's attack ques or removed so your base will not be attacked anymore. However, if you log on your base will be back in attack que and will be attacked normally. I have heard that after a long time supercell does delete inactive bases but I'm not sure. Just delete the app if you don't want to be bothered by it anymore. Hope this helped.

Is there a a way to completely remove your world as if it was never there?

No. This can't be done so that if another person ♥♥♥♥s your account or gets on your phone/tablet, they can't just delete your village.
