If you are in a war and you know u can't win, do you tell your clan to not fight or keep going to hopefully get some war XP? I was in a clan prior, woke up and the other clan had 3 starred every base on our side. Our leaders told everyone to continue to attack even though we couldn't win. And this was before the Clan perks. Alot of the clan left after that war, it was a complete waste of elixer to fight a losing war.

We are pretty serious about getting both attacks in. My clan leader is not so much, he will call a war and say everyone can not attack or go for loot, but for the most part the rest of us are like screw that and we go for it anyway. It would take a serious mismatch or any enemy clan full of amazingly skilled attackers for me to tell my clan to give up. Even if chances of winning are slim, there's still a chance to make a comeback. If you throw in the towel, there's no chance.

We've had some tough wars and been beaten 4 or 5 times, but we've always, always tried to win. We always will too. If you give up, you're just handing the other clan an easy win and we won't do that. We'll fight for every star we can and make it as tough for them as possible.
At least when we do lose, we all know we gave it our best shot.
1. Getting war stars is good even if the war is lost. If most of the clan won't attack, even better because I can attack lower
2. Sometimes is just good to practice war skills, when winning is no longer an option. I sometimes attack a TH higher which I would normally not do if the war is winnable.

I don't think the phrase "give up" is in my vocabulary
We call it off if it is absolutely guaranteed we can not draw or win.
We do go for the draw if it is only possible we can draw.
If there's no chance, then people can skip attacking.
If there's even a 1% chance to draw or win, you're attacking.

We have had enough wars that looked hopeless that we have come back and won that I never let my clan give up. Think of it as practice.
That said if you were all 3 starred, the best you could hope for is a tie which loot wise is not much better than a loss and xp wise might as well lose. Now personally id rather see white than red on the war log but thats just a pride thing.
