Drags not getting it done? Town Hall 8 gowipe hype!

As I approached maxed out town hall 8, I found mass dragon at clan war a risky strategy, as they can go round the outside and every base is designed to stop them. Also they never get 3 stars.

I realised then that you could get a gowipe at town hall 8. I had seen people do that attack at town hall 10 but not as low as this. However, it is an excellent strategy and I manage to pull in 5/6 stars every time against high level town hall 8.

If you are going to do this raid I would advise having at least level two pekkas and level 5 wizards, along with level 5 rage and heal spells and level 5+ king. It will help a lot to have level 2 golems and level 3 pekkas though.

    I like to bring:
    -2 golems
    -14 wizards
    -8 wall breakers
    -2 pekkas
    -8 archers
    -2 giants
    -Clan castle pekka or witches
    -2 rage spells
    -1 heal spell

    1) Draw out the clan castle. If there is a dragon you want to use archers to draw it to where you want to attack from, then kill it with wizards. If not, you can just start your attack. Note: If you know there are wizards and archers, still draw them out because you want to deal with them quickly.

    2) Drop your golems. You want to attack from where there are the most pinpoint defences, archer towers and cannons, as splash damage doesn't affect your troops. You want to drop them about 2 cm/1 inch apart.

    3) Drop your wizards straight away. Spread them out in a line behind the golems so that they are protected.

    4) If you have clan castle witches drop them now.

    5) Drop your wall breakers. You want to be able to open walls for both of your golems, but if they bunch up its ok.

    6) When the clan castle has died, drop your pekkas and king. Make sure that they go down the middle of the base.

    7) Drop a rage spell on all your troops to push them into the base.

    8) Drop archers if there are builder huts on the outside. If not, save them.

    9) Drop the heal and rage spell later in the raid. I would suggest using them on groups of pekkas and king, especially when pekkas are near teslas.

    10) Watch the stars fall your way.

    Tips:
    - Improvise. Something will probably go wrong, like the pekkas and king going round the outside, so think fast and decisively.
    - Make sure that steps 2-7 are completed in a minimum of 15 seconds.
    - When you see YouTubers doing it at max level, they go for two stars. You are going for 3, so don't spread you golems out too much and save your spells a bit longer.

I hope the raid works for you as it does for me.

I have always used this exact composition! Although I did find as I started matching maxed 8's in wars this army would sometimes fall short on clean up leaving me frustrated with just 2 stars.

I have now switched to HoGoWiPe or GoLoWiPe and find these compositions much better on the back end of attacks and the 3 stars are now flowing again.

    THIS

My TH8 mini will almost always mix in hogs or loons for tougher TH8's
Almost always witches in CC also, unless I know it's a dragon.

If your pekkas are going round the outside, it's because you did steps 2-7 too fast. The golem-wizard drop is important because you are funneling the pekka and king into the middle of the base. Drop golem, then spread out wizards (i drop fewer in the middle and more on edges while saving like 5) and wait until they take out the outer buildings. Then drop pekka and king. With no outside buildings, they attack the nearest, which is inside the base. Drop the remaining wizards and use spells/breakers to rampage through.

If you can get lvl 6 balloons in cc, they are suburb for back end cleanup after air defense are down. With the popularity of anti-dragon central air def, once a gowipe demolishes the core, air def are usually gone and the loons can smoke back end defense structures.

    Thank you I'll try that

Hard match up here, will loons work?
Thinking of going from the top and dealing with queen early but will the air defences be cleared for loons to work at the end.
