    Wager Gems in War

Everyone in each clan puts up x gems to wager, winner takes all and ties split. Normal war loot is still in effect.

This would be optional so not everyone is forced to use gems to war, and could have variable stakes depending on your clan's preference (10 gems/player, 50 gems/player,...etc).

Since clans cannot choose who they war against, I don't see a way to exploit this besides being good at war. Also, SC would not have to put up any free gems, as these are all in circulation already.

This gives a bit more incentive to win wars besides trying to pad the dent in the resources you used to win in the first place.

SC has mentioned before that they would not support any idea that promotes gambling/wagering or gems or resources. I think it has to do with avoiding the backlash of sore losers and possibly the stigma that is associated with gambling in general.

Although I would agree that putting a wager on a wars outcome would make things more interesting, in many areas/countries/states around the world gambling is illegal. SC and gamers would be making themselfs potentially liable.

Yea, I guess the fact that gems are essentially tied to real money could make it a tricky situation...although if it is optional then people would not be forced to wager to play the game.

OK...so my first sentece described what a wager war would look like, and then I later offer that it could be optional for clans to do this.

    Get it?

Also, if you're actually interested in the idea and are wanting clarification you could ask a question as opposed to playing police man.
