    gowiwi help

Hi, I'm a th9 gowiper and I'm trying to learn how to gowiwi. My set-up is 2 golems (one in cc), 4 witches, 12 wb's, and 22 wiz. I'm using 2 rage, 2 heal. So far, all I know is that you place three golems, and the wiz behind, then the witches behind the middle golem, then wb's then rage spell, etc. my question is, are you supposed to attack the same types of bases like gowipe (open bases)? Also, if my setup is wrong, feel free to correct. Thanks.

I'm probably the least qualified person to talk about this since I've recently started as well but I'll try, there's so many variations I'm sure your army is fine the way it is, i personally use 2 golems (1 in cc), 8 wb, 12 wizards, and 8 witches, 3 heal and 1 jump, ive found myself almost 3 starring bases, although usually atleast one of my golems is already dead by the time they get to the core because I don't lure due to my lack of wizards, luckily my king is usually catching up to start tanking, as for bases yes, open bases are generally the easiest for these types of attacks, it let's skeletons dodge mortars and makes It harder for wizard towers to stay on targets

Yes you do want open bases. I prefer a witch heavy army. I usually use 9 witches, two golems(one in CC) with a handful of wizards and wallbreakers. Decent leveled heros are very important in gowiwi.

There's tons of videos on this, but with gowixxx variations I like to core fast and do it like this:

    Army: GoWiWiPe - 2 golems (lv4), 8 wall breakers (lv5), 3 PEKKA (lv3), 3 witches (lv2), rest wizards (14 I think, lv5), plus heroes. 2 rage, 1 heal, 1 jump.

The key is to attack the side or corner with most single point defences and some splash in reach. You need to clear enough outside buildings to force the dumb troops to go straight to the core fast. A side opposite the heroes is a good choice or the cc, as they will Pull your troops deep fast - but this method means you gotta be able to deal with them fast too.

Drop the golems an even space apart to draw all fire from the wall.
Drop all but 2/3 wizards in a full spread behind them once the defences are targeting your golems.
Drop wall breakers in pairs to break open an entrance near the golems (or on a corner, I go all dead centre).

By now your wizards will have destroyed most outside buildings. This is key to the success of coring.

Your troops will enter the hole you've blown and cc trooos and heroes will likely by now be hitting you. Drop a rage on your troops by the entrance to quickly deal with them. If damage is heavy, also drop your heal, or if a wall is there, drop your jump to the core too.
Now time to send in the big guns.... 2/3 witches, pekkas (carefully, to ensure they go in and not round), king, then queen last, depending on base type.

At this point all enemy troops should be gone and your troops will be speeding into the core.

Drop your second rage in the core over town hall and near a wall. They should tear both down in seconds and start making their way through the base.
Drop final witch and any remaining wizards to pick up percentage of strategic distractions.

This doesn't work for everyone, but is good for a super easy 2 on most war bases th9. If your golems are weak, take 1 more golem in place of a pekka and wizard. It will require some mixing up depending on the base. Have a golem or pekka and wizard in the cc, big troops are better as you have no control over the spread if it were say wizards in there.

Don't use heals. Take a lightning if you can't lure CC, also a jump spell.

There's two main kinds of gowiwipes. There's the standard one. It's typically 3 points of a base in a line with a golem in each and centre has pekkas heroes etc towards centre. The idea is 3 points of distraction to get two stars and town hall with centre troops. Break outer walls with wb and jump to get to centre town hall etc.

The new lazy way a lot of us in champ league use is two jumps no wallbreakers. You pick a good spot to jump to town hall, cluster the golems more and follow with troops and heroes behind. This is usually golem heavy, 4 to 6 golems. It's more just brute force than anything else and sometimes means you come away with one star town hall wins because the attack is so focused on one area. There's guys that do the three drop like standard gowipe but with centre 3 golems and sides one golem and a couple wiz behind. This is super effective also. Watch replays, replicate...

It depends on lots of things including the base you're attacking. Possibly the most important question is are you using gowiwi for 2 stars or 3? Most of the time gowiwi is a 2 star attack...however against wide open bases or underleveled bases they certainly can be 3 starred. It would be impossible for someone to help without knowing though.

I wouldn't use that many wizards and instead would replace them with a few balloons or hogs for either eliminating front side defenses or using them to eliminate outer defenses toward the end of an attack.
