I have just joined another clan because i thought maybe it will change but the same old thing is said! Oh unlucky you did destroy all the defences, you were just unlucky! Im now in Axswarriors, with some awesome guys that have coached me a bit, but to no avail! Just had enough, the GAME is too hard! Its not fun anymore!

Im looking at your profile right now. What armies do you take into clan war attacks? Do you attack TH8's or TH9's typically? You have level 2 lavahounds, max balloons, and maxed rage at th9 with 220 army space. Youre telling me you can't get one star on a th8? That's impossible.

i looked up your clan, and saw your profile. you certainly arent near a max th9, most glaring is your low level heroes and low war stars. heroes are the biggest factor outside of skill when determining war success, and yours are too low to consistently get 3 stars on any decent th9. Also you war stars seem to indicate a lack of war experience, my th8 acct has about double your war stars for comparison.
I would recommend opting out of war for a few weeks and farm hard for de, get your heroes up to a minimum of 15/15 before opting back in for war. 15/15 is generally accepted as the minimum for most 3 star strategies at th9, but the higher they are the easier it gets. When you do go back to war, be prepared to suck for a good month before things start falling into place. ; try different strategies, everyone has different strengths with different combos. i personally suck at laloon attacks, but i am pretty handy with hogs.
while you are working on heroes, spend a lot of time watching attacks to pick up on the little things that make the difference between good attacks and bad. I highly recommend subscribing to OneHive raids on youtube, Jake does a great job of breaking down bases and attacks. lots of great content on his channel to help you figure everything out.

Come on, really. I was about to make a comment about how non-helpful these comments were but I saw wormwood did that already:

With my head bowed in defeat, im giving up! I really have had enough! I have studied loads of formations tried 3of the best aparantly and i have never once got a star in the last 12 wars! As i said at the start of this thread, its far far far too bloody hard. Its not worth playing anymore and its certainly not worth putting money into the game! I agree to not having the game easy but enough is enough, how hard is it going to be in the next update? Because im not going through this everytime its upgraded! Before people start saying the usual, i used to be a 6star every war man on th8, im not leaving my resourses out in the open, im lvl 105, i upgraded every single bit before i upgraded my th, and im th9. I have tried gowipe, gowiwi, pentalavaloon, hogs and loons. Oh and by the way i still think the administaters have destroyed the game and its now 100% ♥♥♥♥!!!

I failed 12 wars doing nothing but GoLaLoon - not a single 3 star. I watched hours of GoLaLoon attacks, and am I going to try again? Yes!

Don't give up. Practice more and more, watch attacks, and the 3 star will come. Ignore all the rude and thoughtless comments telling you that you are unskilled and should quit the game, because they obviously did not pay attention to the fact that you are learning a 3 star strategy

My heroes are 10/11, and with max troops, I can make a reasonable attempt at surgical hogging most TH9s of my level. Of course it always depends on base design, but you don't necessarily need to get the heroes up as high as you can.

It's true CoC has become a very difficult game of late, and personally I am a fan of it. Gone are the days of spamming drags, hogs and loons for an easy 3 star. The changes in difficulty have been gradual at least so there has been an adjustment period for us to get used to the changes. First was giant bombs getting a buff which killed hog attacks for the unskilled. After that they added skeleton traps and doubled the archer tower rate of fire which put a hurt on drag and balloon attacks for the casual player. There have been other tweaks to AI along the way and the addition of the new air sweeper that has made the game even more difficult for the average player.

I understand your pain because it feels as though you are running uphill through quicksand with an anchor tied around your neck. I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way.

Hybrid strategies are the new way. These days you have to plan your raids in war if you want to go for 3 stars amd I believe that is they was this game is intended to be played. They have nice little abbreviations for the basic framework of the attack like GoHo, but it's not as simple as golems and hogs. You'll need to fill out the attack with wiz, witches, and other troops to get the job done. LaLoon also comes in many forms and thanks to the update you can't just spam it for 3 stars, you have to plan your attack strategically. CoC is a strategy game after all. HoLoWiWi is a good one too, but can't be used on all bases. Then there is LoGoWiPe, GoWiVa and even HoLoVaPe if you are crazy enough to try it!

The thing that they don't tell you when you watch all these videos of perfectly executed raids all over youtube is that these hybrid strategies are boom or bust. Sure they are 3 star strategies but they can just as easily turn into 1 or 0 stars with even a small mistake. Hesitate in your deployment, misplace a spell or have your heroes wander and the attack can go south in a hurry. There is a learning cure to these attacks as well. Your first GoHo isn't going to be 3 stars and I can all but guarantee your first LaLoon is going to fail. Maybe even your first 10 LaLoon attacks!

Anyhow it takes time to master, I'm still fumbling with all these new attacks myself with about a 40% success rate. Trust me the videos make it look easy, they aren't nearly as easy as they look! Good luck and I hope you learn a few new tricks otherwise you are going to miserable every time you play this game!

Totally agree with this post. The game is very hard now and I love it. In my clan we have consistently forced everyone at TH8 and TH9 to only do 3-star attempts. It's paying off now when it has become almost impossible to three star with the popular spam attacks.

GUYS HES A TROLL! He has finished the goblin campaign 150/150 stars, he has level 2 lavahounds and level 6 balloons...and he claims they are having him attack 6 bases or so lower than him in war. And he hasn't gotten a single star in 12 wars? Impossible. I've never heard of anybody struggling near this level.
