A simple suggestion, to solve an annoying issue. REVENGE!!!!

This idea will change your entire view on de zappers, mine raiders and cheap attacks!

Being able to tag specific battles in your battle log, that you want to revenge.. And as soon as they either have no shield or are online, the game prompts you by a little (!) on your battle log tab. This would give you the perfect satisfaction to go and revenge those de stealing low lifes!! Or just those pesky goblins that get on your nerves.

This would really enhance your desicion to just attack who ever you want. And with every action, there is a consequence..

what's the point having revenge option then, if you can't utilise it in a productive way.. because trying to revenge someone that has a shield is pointless in my opinion. thanks for your input. but surely they haven't ruled it out completely.

The only pratical way to fix revenge is to fix who attacks who. Right now it is mostly people attacking (farming) villages with a Town Hall level one (maybe two) lower than them. Even without the Shield in the way (or them doing a raiding binge before spending it all), you are still stuck with the issue of attacking people that are substantially stronger than you.

So it is a double hit of rare avaliblity and bad options. I've bragged about (having no life) hitting about 95% of the people on my defence log, with a few that escape, but even then, after moving from TH7, revenge attacks just weren't as fun anymore. As a TH7, I could use my newly acquired dragons to revenge hit early to mid stage TH8s. It wasn't easy, but it was fun, but you can't pull stuff like that off as a TH8 vs a TH9. DE zaps (and other trolling actions) are about the extent of most those strikes back. Unless some foolish TH7 or TH8 DE zaps me first (which I revenge attacked one DE Zapping TH7 an hour ago, and had almost half my dragons undeployed after 100% damage.)

Beleive me, I'm looking for a way to get this fixed, and the easier way to do it is think outside the box, stop messing with the revenge system, and fix the broken @$$ encouraged targeting behavior the system gives, and give something to make defence not a punitive event almost all the time for most people (that aren't 'smart enough' to use a farming base )

The revenge system, as far as I can tell, is getting junk to work with, and so operates like junk. Making it work with the junk is almost like breaking it to fit a broken system.

Revenging isn't a practical solution with the prominence of th sniping. I wish it were that simple, I'd love getting zapped just so I could revenge. As it stands, people hide behind their perma shields...including myself.

Am I the only one here that has never used a farming base layout?!

Not to say that I haven't been tempted, but there has to be some diehards out there that don't use an exposed Town Hall layout.

In any case, it is hard, but not impossible, to hit people that are hiding under a Shield. For one, where I'm at (1,400 trophies until I upgrade out of TH8) such bases aren't that effective. It is TH6-7-ish territory. And usually they don't mess with too many of the bases, even if it is an easy trophy grab. Some may have been scared away, since it nets some of them revenge attacks by vigilant players (like me).

One time I TH sniped for the heck of it, with 3 lightenings ready, and full raiding army, and poked bases, looking for a troll base to troll back. After awhile, I lost my patience, fudged a deployment to have thier defence shot a few troops because they placed thier TH close to them, and then DE zapped them. (I think I needed to use the spells since I needed rage spells) For the next week I had several revenge attacks on me, and because I was not using a farming base, they were able to get to me. And all because I helped them get a Shield... jerks. And here I TH sniped back when someone did a no damage trophy drop, just to get them off my log. I can't call it a revenge attack when there is nothing to revenge about!

Other than that one time, I've rarely had revenge attacks done on me. I'd have to guess half of them, that weren't from the deliberate poking of higher level bases, were pathetic. Except for one, maybe two, TH7s that had the guts to send a dragon raid revenge attack on me. Being familiar with dragon attacks, my base was very hard to be 100% destroyed by a TH7, but they actually got to most of my loot! It is such a rarity to see those... that I was actually proud of them. Not to say that my first thoughts was, "Lol I'm so going to raze that place" when seeing they were a lower level base, but then realizing that... there is no revenge button! I check again, and go "Oh yeah!! I remember! I already did loot the hell out of them." and then be amused, not bitter, for quite awhile to see some attack like I did when I was TH7.

Anyway, I guess I'm one of the few stubborn people that not only doesn't do a farming base, but also revenge attacks... habitually! I'd likely be the first to know when the revenge attack system finally starts working properly. I would actually like to see that now that I think about it, since that means more people are not in thier shell/Shield for some reason or another, likely from an improvement, and more people in turn are trying it out, and succeeding.
