You may think people play want they want, but as a group, they herd towards one direction or another. SC can make the majority of players play how they want to a good degree.

Right now, SC hasn't found out how to change that direction without ticking people off and leaving. Besides, it isn't worth it to change thier direction. Thier income is fine currently with how things kinda-sorta work. Why poke it and risk a loss in income while they have time to figure out what to do when things do crash?

You know how I want to play? I want to fight against bigger bases with a higher loot reward, and not have to grind so many small bases for near max rewards as if I was mob boss shaking down people in my territory for funds, while a higher level TH person hits me the same way. Constant grinding on lower level bases isn't that fun, but it's the most profitable, and the reason why I'm set on making money and upgrading is... surprise! Keeping up with everyone else building up just as fast, because people generally follow the group, most times thoughtlessly, not even realizing they do it.

So yeah, believe all you want that people here can play how they want to play... assuming that nonexistent options are real and doable. I almost wish I could again. Would likely be happier.

I am in gold league and I'm tired of people who should clearly be in crystal or champion league trophy down to gold league to easily 3* and take all the loot. Make it to where once you get into a certain league, you can no longer move down from that league and you must attack those in that same league. OR, make it to where you only get 1% loot if you trophy down out of your league. That will heavily deter people from, IMO, cheap shots for loot.

So your a maxed th8 and in the gold league and claim that people are cheap shots, hypocrite much. Seriously so your expecting is to take pity on rushed townhalls with tons of resources, not a chance. Game is about destruction of others bases and upgrading to get stronger. There fault for not upgrading there defenses so if they would of upgraded they would of held up better. If you really think that anyone would add this and destroy the economy, then you need to rethink your life choices.

It isn't enough. If anything, the reason why the loot penalty for one Town Hall level lower than the attacker is still at 90%, and not lower, is likely because SC can't change it without ticking off the player base. Something has to be added before they can take anything else away. And the new matching system is... minor. Either a bandaid solution or just a mere first step in phasing in a more comprehensive fix to CoC. (Personality, I'm thinking, and hoping, it is the latter, since any major change to a game like this would need to be done gradually)

There are th6s in crystal. Been there twice. (I like the loot bonus.) and if they couldn't go back, ouch for the economy and them.

And why aren't you in crystal, if a th6 can do it then a th8 can.

And people drop trophies, sometimes repeaditly on one base and this can push people who don't want to be to be in crystal.

That would involved limiting loot and league by overall base strength, similar as determined in war matching, which is just ridiculous. If you're getting crushed by people that could be in champ then either you know nothing about champ and you're a th5 or you're a rushed th9 or th10 who gemmed up and can't take it. If you can't take the heat, get out of the fire. Drop to bronze, you'll probably be safer there, or move up to crystal since you'll get sniped faster and big guys can't get your loot from behind that free shield.

I try to stay at 1,400 trophies, because I was mostly tired of being attacked by TH9s (will be TH9 soon though Lol, best find a new range soon). The League bonus in Crystal is nice, but not nice enough to numb the annoyance of being raided after 3 minutes of looking away, and also being shown that your base defence, is again, despite best efforts, is a pathetic joke to the people that's one or two Town Hall levels higher than you.

So where am I to go? You want me to ruin my gameplay to 'play nice'? Give me something I can work with! I'm sick of smacking lower level villages myself! It is boring, and I know how it feels to be that level. Heck, I purposefully give a Shield to them, when able, if doing a looting trophy drop. But as it is, that is the few methods people can use to get the loot they want. (I'm amazed the game still can operate this way for so long) I'm lucky enough to find some enjoyment in not using a 'farming base' (exposed TH layout), while many have failed to do so. And I can clearly see why they do it, and it isn't because they want to play dirty... usually not at first.

Until there is a loot bonus towards stronger bases, people, including me, will still farm abandoned bases and lower Town Hall level villages. If there is a stronger loot penalty for attacking lower level villages, for most people they would feel like they might as well give up this game and move on to something else.

It'll come up again. Either this thread, or by someone else newly discovering that thier assumptions on gameplay are sorely mistaken.
