Clan war matchmaking – mines, collectors and storages

Clan war matchmaking – mines, collectors and storages

    I have a simple question:

Does mines, collectors and storages have any effect at all on the clan war matchmaking?
Please don’t give me what you think and believe, leave those to the time when you visit the church

So what I want to know, will upgrading/building them affect the matchmaking point and thus resulting in a stronger enemy

No, they have no effect on the matchmaking.

    How

Would anyone be able to answer your question definitively? It's all supposition on our parts as none of us are privy to the matchmaking algorithm. You might have better luck going to church for the answer to all questions regarding how and why.

We can't have the truth in our pockets...
But looking at war weights, you can upgrade mines drills and storages and your weight won't change.
War weight is the most common thing to measure the impact of an upgrade on the matchmaking, to measure mismatch and stuff.. I gave my answer looking at the weight, can't know anything more than that

When I was a th6 and had leveled my collectors to 10 I ended up being at the top of the other 6s that all had exactly the same defense and offense capabilities as me, but lower collectors. So it does effect placement on the map to a degree. What that means in matching is less than clear.

Unless anyone here has actual inside knowledge of what's going on behind the scenes no one will be able to answer your question with absolute certainty.

That would be consistent with using the total number of hit points as a tie breaker when sorting the map by defensive strength. But some other metric may have been used which just happened to put you on top...

This is observation, what I was looking for. Good answer

Your observation is an indication that they make difference. It is a good start. The question is what kind of difference they make. It is true that they give advantage for defense. To upgrade them or not to upgrade, that is the question

Now to build on this, if one of your mates had upgraded a tower you would have got quite good information. And if other one upgraded just one collector then even better.

    .
No, it is an indication that they MAY make a difference. It would be a bit stronger if we could look at several bases that were identical except for 1 non-defensive structure of differing levels and see if the ordering on the map always followed the number of hit points. Some care with experiment design is needed to rule out non-obvious possibilities such as underlying implementation issues for how the software maintains lists.
